BITSAT 2018: Slot booking going on, last date 5 April; Know how to prepare in one month

BITS Pilani has started Slot Booking for BITSAT 2018 on March 23, 2018, at 10:00 am and it will end on April 05, 2018. The process of slot booking will be done on the first-come-first-served basis. Candidates are advised that they must not delay. The candidates need to enter their application number, gender, date of birth & e-mail id for in order to book their slot.

The entrance test will be held in two slots namely slot 1 and slot 2. The timings for slot 1 and 2 are 09:00 am to 12:00 pm and 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm respectively. The aspirants can choose one out of the two slots mentioned above.

Candidates should keep in mind that the slots once booked cannot be changed again. So, you need to be very careful in booking the slots. The entrance exam of BITSAT 2018 will be conducted from May 16 to 31, 2018. This means you have enough choices of dates and time to choose from. Make sure the date and time you choose don’t clash with any other entrance exam. Also, you should check that you are getting gaps properly in between the examinations.

On opening the slot booking portal, you will be able to view the following page:

Enter the details including application number, gender, date of birth and email id properly. Next, the candidate needs to choose the preferred test city/ centre timings for the exam as shown below:

Click on the “Continue” button to confirm your slots. The aspirants will be able to download their admit card after they have done the slot booking process. The dates for downloading the hall tickets are from April 12 to May 10, 2018. To download the admit card, the applicants need to enter details such as Application Number and Password. The admit card will not be send by post or courier or fax. The candidates should note that they should bring the admit card on the examination day without any fail. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without having the valid hall ticket for BITSAT 2018. It will be used for verifying the candidates.

There is not very much time left for the BITSAT 2018 exam. Candidates should plan proper strategies to prepare for the exam to obtain good results. Firstly, make a schedule or time table that you can strictly follow everyday till the last day before the examination. Then you should make yourself aware about the complete syllabus of the test as well as the important topics from each of the 3 subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Questions in the BITSAT exam are designed on syllabus prescribed in NCERT textbooks of classes 11th and 12th.

You should solve as many sample papers as possible to improve your accuracy, efficiency and speed during the exams. Give mock tests to know the real time situation of the entrance test. These stuffs will let you know about your own level. You can judge yourself and can reshape your studying methodologies accordingly.

The important topics for Physics include Mechanics (Newton’s Laws, Work and Energy, Rotational Dynamics etc), Thermodynamics, Electrostatics and Electromagnetism. For Mathematics, focus on Integral Calculus, Differential Calculus, Coordinate Geometry and Complex Numbers. In the Chemistry section, you need to devote more time for Ionic Equilibrium, Chemical Equilibrium and Gas Laws.
