Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released the Bihar Excise SI Admit Card 2019. Notification regarding release of admit card for preliminary exam has been published at bpssc.bih.nic.in. Hall ticket itself is hosted at apply-bpssc.com. Bihar Police Excise Sub Inspector preliminary exam is scheduled to be held on June 9, 2019.
In order to download admit card, candidates need to visit bpssc.bih.nic.in. There they will see a list of notices in reverse chronological order. Here one can see the notice “Download Admit Card of preliminary exam for the post of Excise Sub Inspector in Prohibition, Excise & Registration Dept., Govt. of Bihar. (Advt. No. 02/2018)”.
Upon clicking it, one reaches apply-bpssc.com/ExciseSI/applicationIndex. This page contains all latest updates of Bihar Police Excise SI recruitment notices, as well as admit card download link. Link to download admit card is highlighted with text “Download Written Exam Admit Card”.
Clicking above-said link takes to a login page. Then here candidates have to enter either registration number or mobile number in top most fields. Then enter date of birth in next field, followed by captcha code in last field. Once all data is entered, candidates have to click submit button. This leads to generation of Bihar Excise SI Admit Card 2019.
Unlike a lot of govt job exams admit card downloads, downloading BPSSC admit card is easy as registration ID is not mandatory. Many a times, candidates misplace their registration details by the time admit cards release and they are thereby unable to download admit cards. However in this case, one can simply use mobile number to proceed.
This is especially relevant for Bihar Police Excise SI Admit Card since its applications were invited in May-June 2018. It is after close to a year that admit cards have been released.
BPSSC is responsible for conducting preliminary exam of 200 marks. This exam will have 100 questions of MCQ type. It will be of 2 hours duration. It will have questions on general knowledge and current affairs. In prelims as well as mains, there is negative marking of 0.2 mark. Candidates need to obtain at least 30% marks in it in order to qualify.
Number of candidates to be shortlisted on basis of result of Bihar Police Excise Result 2019 for mains exam shall equal 20 times the number of vacancies. Thus, somewhere around 2520 candidates shall be shortlisted for mains. If reports are to be believed and 90000 have applied, then only 2-3% candidates will make it to the mains exam.
Mains exam will have two papers. First one will be Hindi with 100 questions of 200 marks, 2 hours. It will only be qualifying in nature and its marks will not be counted for merit. Whereas paper 2 will be on General Studies, General Science, Civics, History of India, Geography of India, Mathematics, Mental Ability. It will also be of 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours. On basis of this exam, candidates equal to 6 times vacancies will be called for physical proficiency test. Ultimately, candidates shall join as Excise Sub Inspectors in pay scale 9300-34800 + grade pay 4200 through Bihar Police Excise Sub Inspector Recruitment 2019.
