The Bihar board exams conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board(BSEB) will commence from February 1, 2022. The class 12 exams are scheduled to be held from February 1 to 14 following all covid appropriate protocols. As per the timetable, the mathematics examination will be the first one to be conducted this Tuesday, February 1.
As there prevails pressure among students due to the lack of proper classes and offline sessions, here are a few tips to prepare well and score good marks in the examination.
Solve previous year question papers
The best preparation for any examination is to solve the question papers of at least 5 previous years. Solving the previous year question papers can help the students get an idea about the exam pattern. It helps to understand the importance of each chapter so that one can prepare according to the weightage of marks allotted in the previous years. There are also high chances of certain questions getting repeated every year and going through previous papers can help you identify such questions. Also the time bound solving of question papers will help you maintain accuracy during the math examination thereby helping you to finish the paper on time. Going through the model papers released by BSEB will also be of great help.
Focus on NCERT books for preparation
Looking at the previous years, BSEB asks a majority of questions from NCERT textbooks. Referring to NCERT books and solving questions from the same can help the students get good marks.
Assign more time to important chapters
Going through previous year question papers gives an idea about the importance of each chapter in the examination. The unit on Calculus carries more weightage with about 40 marks being asked from the chapter. Hence giving more importance to Calculus while studying can help you ace the questions from that section. Devise strategies and tricks to solve difficult questions. More importantly, make sure not to waste too much time on a single question during the exam as it robs you of time and creates undue pressure.
Revision
As the date of the exam is near, students should not try to cover any new topics but should focus more on revising the completed portions. Being thorough with formulas and theorems is very important while appearing for the mathematics examination. Hence focus should be more on re-reading and remembering these basic things. Students should avoid last minute studying and revision of any difficult or new topics as it increases nervousness on the day of examination. Revise well and take adequate rest so as to keep the mind afresh.
Keep these simple tips in mind and do well in the examination.
