Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the class 12 result today, March 30, 2019, at 3:15 PM via a press conference. In the commerce stream, the topper is Satyam KR with 94.4% marks, followed by Sonu KR who has got 94% marks and Shreya Kri with 93.8% marks.
State education department additional chief secretary RK Mahajan and Bihar Board chairman Anand Kishor have declared the result at a press conference.
Congratulations to all the toppers for this achievement. BSEB is the first among the state boards to declare the result of class 12 this year. In addition to that, this is the first time that BSEB is declaring the results in the month of March.
The Bihar Board class 12th exam was held between February 06 – 16, 2019, and the result came out today and is also available at the official websites biharboardonline.gov.in, bsebbihar.com and bsebinteredu.in.
To check the result the candidates need to enter their roll code and roll number. In doing so the result appears on the screen. The candidates have to check the result and keep a print of it for any future references.
The result will have details regarding Name of the Student, Roll Number of the Student, Roll Code, Name of the Examination, Respective Class, Date of Birth, Parent’s Information, Subject Name, Marks Obtained, Total Marks, Percentage and the Status of the Result- Cleared/ Not Cleared.
The overall pass percentage this year for the class 12 Bihar board exam is 79.76%. Commerce stream has the highest pass percentage. The streamwise pass percentage is Science – 81.20%, Commerce – 93.02% and Arts with 76.5%.
The overall topper including all the 3 streams is Rohini and Pawan from Science stream. Both have got an overall percentage of 94.6%. From the arts stream, the topper is Rohini Kri with 92.6% marks.
As per RK Mahajan, this year a significant improvement has been witnessed in the result due to the change in the question paper pattern. However, the arts stream has the lowest pass percentage out of all the 3 steams.
The result of 174 candidates is in the pending list as of now. This year the total number of candidates who have written the exams are 13,15,382. The exam was held across 1339 centres in the state of Bihar. The exam was held in 2 shifts, first in the morning shift and the second shift in the afternoon.
The changes that has lead to an increase in the success rate of the passing candidates this year are the introduction of multiple answers in long type questions and short type questions. The weightage of the HOTS (Higher-order thinking skills) questions in MCQs were reduced. There were 10 sets of question papers this time.
