BCECE 2018, the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination, will be held on April 29 and 30. Interested and eligible students can apply online from March 7 to 28. The BCECE 2018 will be held for admission to UG engineering, pharmacy, health science, agricultural programs.
The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) released the notification cum advertisement today, on March 6. It is in hindi language.
BCECEB 2018 notification says:
Candidates who wish to appear in Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) 2018 and participate in subsequent admission process are invited to register online using the online BCECE 2018 application form. Admission will be offered to the following programs on basis of the exam.
Engineering / Pharmacy: In degree programs of government recognized technical colleges of Bihar state.
Medical sciences: B.Physiotherapy, B. Occupational Therapy, Para medical degree programs (Lab Tech, OT, Assistant, X Ray Tech, Ophthalmic assistant, Orthotics, Prosthotics).
Agricultural: (i) Bihar Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Sabour (Bhagalpur)’s degree agriculture and technology programs’ 50% seats will be filled on basis f PCM and PCB merit, and rest 50% will be filled on basis of CBA (Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture Sc) / PCA (Physics, Chemistry, Agriculture Sc) / MBA (Mathematics, Biology, Agriculture Sc) / MCA (Mathematics, Chemistry, Agriculture Sc) merit lists.
The first date for application form submission is 07.03.2018 and the last date is 28.03.2018.
There will only be one stage in the BCECE 2018. In earlier years, the exam was held in two stages.
On 29.04.2018, BCECE 2018 will be held for physics, chemistry, biology. On 30.04.2018, exam will be held for agricultural sciences.
The official website of the board is bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. Here, BCECEB will issue prospectus or information bulletin for the exam. candidates must go through the brochure to understand eligibility criteria and only then apply.
Another detailed notification has also been published. It contains step by step instructions to apply for the exam. It is relevant to note that the fee has increased.
Hiked application fee is as follows
- UR / BC / EBC candidates – any one subject group (PCM / PCB / CBA / PCA / MBA / MCA) – Rs 1000
- UR / BC / EBC – all subjects (PCMB) – Rs 1100
- SC / ST / PwD – any one – Rs 500
- SC / ST / PwD – all – Rs 550
