Bank of Baroda has advertised openings for the post of Part-Time Medical Consultant at the head office in Alkapuri. BOB has published an official recruitment notification to fill up this vacancy on a contractual basis. The notification can be downloaded at the official website of the bank i.e. bankofbaroda.in. Only a single opening is available for the post. Eligible and intending candidates are invited to send their applications for recruitment on or before the last date. A single vacancy for the post of Part-Time Medical Consultant is available at the Head Office of the Bank of Baroda in Alkapuri, Baroda. The vacancy is to be filled up by an eligible candidate on a contract basis. The initial period of the contract is 01 year. However, the total period can be extended to 03 years subject to a yearly review of performance. The candidates appointed to the job role have to work for a minimum of 15 hours per week from Monday to Saturday at the Head Office of the Bank in Baroda Bhawan, Baroda. Such a candidate holding the contractual post is entitled to a consolidated salary of Rs 30000 per month. In addition, a Compounder Salary of Rs 4000 will also be given for engagement of Compounder by the Medical Consultant.
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment. Applicants must be a resident of Baroda city only. Outsiders are not eligible to apply for the recruitment. The age of the applicants cannot be more than 50 years as on September 01, 2020. In other words, candidates born on or after September 01, 1970, are only eligible to apply for this recruitment. Applicants must also have the necessary minimum qualification. Candidates holding an MBBS degree along with an MD qualification in General Medicine (PG qualification recognized by the Medical Council of India) are eligible to apply. Applicants must also have at least 03 years of experience/practise after acquiring their MD qualification.
One must note that the post is temporary in nature and the employment can be terminated by giving 01 month’s prior notice. Similarly, the selected candidate can also choose to resign by giving 01 month’s prior notice to the Bank of Baroda. However, specific terms and conditions will apply after the appointment.
The appointed candidate will not be eligible to receive any other benefit that is provided to full-time employees of the bank. As such, candidates will not be entitled to regular benefits such as LTC, Provident Fund. Gratuity, Bonus, Medical expenses, Briefcase, Newspaper etc. Selected candidates are allowed to engage the services of a Compounder during the employment term. Additional Compounder salary is to be paid by the Bank.
