Safai Sewak Welfare Society, Abohar is inviting applications to fill up 260 temporary vacancies for various posts. The vacancies are available for the posts of Computer Operator, Sanitary Supervisor, Payment Collector, Sweeper and others. An official recruitment notification indicating the terms and conditions & other details about the recruitment is available at the district website fazilka.nic.in. Eligible and intending candidates are invited to submit their applications in the prescribed proforma to Abohar Municipal Corporation, on or before the last date. The last date of receipt of applications in person is September 18, 2020. Applications will be accepted till 03.00 PM on the aforementioned last date. Candidates are encouraged to download the details from the official website and fulfil the eligibility conditions before applying.
The 260 vacancies are advertised for seven different types of posts. All of the posts are to be filled up on a temporary basis only. As such, candidates cannot claim permanent recruitment after the end of the employment tenure. 02 vacancies are available for the post of Computer Operator, 06 for the post of Sanitary Supervisor and 07 for the post of Payment Collector. On the other hand, 02 vacancies are available for the post of Tipper Supervisor, 02 for the post of JCB Driver and 28 vacancies for the post of Tipper Driver. At 213, the post of Sanitary Worker (Sweeper) carries the highest number of vacancies.
Intending candidates must ensure that they fulfil the specified minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment. Common criteria which apply to all of the posts is the age range. Candidates who are within the age range of 25 to 35 years are only eligible to apply. However, such candidates must also hold the requisite minimum qualification prescribed for the post applied to.
For the post of Computer Operator, Graduate candidates having a Computer Certificate awarded by an ISO Certified institute are eligible to apply. Candidates having a Graduate degree in any discipline are eligible to apply. Similarly, Graduate candidates are also eligible to apply for the post of Payment Collector. 12th pass candidates who have studied Punjabi are eligible to apply for the post of Tipper Supervisor. Candidates having a valid operator’s license are eligible to apply for the post of JCB Operator. Similarly, those having a valid operator license are also eligible to apply for the post of Tipper Driver. Middle Pass candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Sanitary Workers (Sweepers).
Selection of the candidates is to be done based on eligibility except for the posts of Computer Operator, Sanitary Supervisor, Payment Collector and Tipper Supervisor. For these posts, a written exam is to be conducted at the discretion of the conducting body. Ten times the available number of vacancies will be called for the written test. Candidates shortlisted for the written test will be informed about the date of the test and other important information. Results of the same can be checked at the official website.
Candidates are advised to read the notice and apply in the prescribed proforma only. The applications can be submitted to the Municipal Corporation of Abohar’s office at Room No. 12 in person. Applications must be enclosed with the self-attested copies of supporting documents and other self-declarations as necessary.
