Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission, Elementary Education, Govt of Assam will release the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2019 admit card on a new date. Earlier it was supposed to be released today. The admit card release is postponed because the exam will now be held on a later date than waht was planned initially. As per the last notice, the TET is rescheduled to November 11, 2019, from previous date of October 20, 2019.
As per the initial schedule, the gap between admit card release date and exam date was 20 days. If the same is maintained this time also then the Assam TET admit card is expected to be released around October 21, 2019.
However the final decision on when to issue the hall ticket will be on the exam conducting body. A new message has been displayed today at the login form page of Assam TET 2019, smbform.in. It says, “Admit Card download notification will be informed soon”.
The exam was postponed largely because SSA accepted applications from physically challenged candidates until September 27, 2019. Also, candidates who had submitted online application as pursuing professional course (B.Ed / D.El.Ed) were given time from September 19 to 27, 2019, to upload professional course admission date, name of institution, mode of course, image of self-attested receipt with seal of institution.
SSA Assam also announced revision of syllabus of language I of Garo, Hmar, Hindi, Karbi, Nepali and Bodo of both lower primary and upper primary level teacher eligibility test.
Assam TET 2019 will be held on the new date for lower primary as well as upper primary. Paper I for classes I to V will have five sections – child development & pedagogy, language I, language II, mathematics, environmental studies. Each section will have 30 questions of 30 marks. Language I options are assamese, bengali, hindi, bodo, manipuri, garo, nepali, karbi, hmar. Whereas language II is english.
Paper II will be for classes VI to VIII teachers. It will have four sections – child development & pedagogy, language I, language II, mathematics and science / social studies. First three sections will have 30 questions of 30 marks. Fourth section will have 60 questions of 60 marks.
Both papers will be of 2.5 hours. Neither will have negative marking. The minimum qualifying marks will be 60%, that is 90 out of 150 in both papers. There is 5% relaxation for SC, ST (Hills), ST (Plain), OBC, MOBC, PWD (PH), who thus have to score 83 out of 150.
The exam will be held at 33 districts namely Baksa, Barpeta, Bishwanath, Bongaigaon, Cachar, Charaideo, Chirang, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Dima Hasao, Goalpara, Golaghat,Hailakandi,Hojai,Jorhat, Kamrup(M), Kamrup, Karbi-anglong, Karimganj, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Morigaon, Nagaon, Nalbari, Sivasagar, Sonitpur, South Salmara Mankachar, Tinsukia, Udalguri, West Karbi Anglong.
