Axom Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Mission (SSA) has released a notification announcing the Special Teacher Eligibility Test Exam for Lower Primary Teacher. The Assam Special TET is specifically announced for the contractual employees engaged from time to time/ presently working under various interventions of SSA Assam. Eligible and intending applicants can submit their online applications by visiting ssa.assam.gov.in. The last date for the receipt of Assam Special TET for Lower Primary Teacher is January 30, 2021.
The Special TET exam will take place only for Paper-I which is Lower Primary level. TET qualified teachers both SSA contractual and State Pool are not eligible to participate in the recruitment drive. As per the notification, the Assam Special TET Exam is scheduled to take place on February 28, 2021. The call letter for the same will be out on February 10, 2021 onwards.
Only the permanent residents of Assam state are eligible to apply for the Assam Special TET Exam. It is important to note that candidates who have worked under various interventions of Assam and given valid professional qualification and Unique ID are eligible. Applicants who do not fulfill the minimum required eligibility criteria are not eligible.
Candidates who have successfully cleared 12th class and possess 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education can apply for this exam. Also, those who have passed the 12th class and have 4 years B.El.Ed degree (Special Education) can also apply. Aspirants with graduation degree and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education are also eligible to apply for Assam Special TET. Those who have graduation with 50% marks of B.Ed degree can also submit their applications online.
The online applications can be submitted by visiting the official website, ssa.assam.gov.in. Aspirants have to first register themselves online and then proceed to submit the Assam Special TET online application form. For this, aspirants required the Unique ID, Name and Date of Birth. While applying, candidates are required to upload a recent passport size photo, full signature and pass certificate of D.El.Ed/ B.Ed and Marksheet of a highest academic degree.
Also, candidates are required to submit the requisite application fee online. They can pay the fee through online banking. Credit card/ debit card/ etc. General category candidates have to make the payment of application fee amounting to Rs. 500/-. Aspirants belonging to SC/ ST (P)/ ST (H)/ OBC/ MOBC/ PWD (PH) have to pay Rs. 300/- as the application fee.
The Paper-I for Assam Special TET Exam is an online examination. Aspirants have to answer 150 Multiple Choice Questions. Each question in the CBT exam carries one mark and no negative marking. A candidate has to secure a minimum 60% marks that is 90 marks out of 150 marks to qualify Special TET Exam. However, SC/ ST (Hills)/ ST (Plain)/ OBC/ MOBC/ PWD (PH) have to obtain minimum 55% marks (83 marks out of 150 marks).
