Army Recruiting Office, Palampur (HP) is all set to conduct recruitment rally for the posts of Soldier (GD) & Soldier (Clerk/SKT) at Police Playground, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. The recruitment rally is scheduled to be conducted from September 18 to 28, 2020. Eligible candidates from the districts of Chamba & Kangra are invited to register online to appear in the rally. The online registration process is scheduled to commence on July 22, 2020 at the official website of Indian Army recruitment i.e. joinindianarmy.nic.in. The last date of registration is September 04, 2020. A detailed recruitment notification is also published at the aforementioned website indicating the terms and conditions & selection procedure of the recruitment in addition to other important details.
As per the detailed recruitment advertisement, the vacancies are available for the posts of Soldier (General Duty) & Soldier (Clerk & SKT). Candidates must be at least 17.5 years old in order to apply. The maximum age to apply for the General Duty post is 21 years while for the Clerk/SKT post, the maximum age is 23 years. In addition, candidates have to match the specified minimum physical standards. Applicants must be at least 163 cm tall to apply for the GD post and 162 cm tall to apply for Clerk/SKT post. The minimum weight of applicants must be 48 kgs while the Chest circumference must be 77 cm with an expansion capacity of 5 cm. 10th pass candidates who have secured at least 45% in aggregate and 33% in each subject are eligible to apply for the post of Soldier (GD). 12th pass candidates with at least 60% marks in aggregate & 50% marks in each subject are eligible to apply for the post of Soldier (Clerk/SKT). Relaxations as applicable under government rules are specified in the detailed recruitment notification.
Eligible applicants are issued admit cards to appear in the rally. The admit cards are tentatively scheduled to be issued by registered email from September 05, 2020, onward. The preliminary selection at the rally site is conducted through Physical Fitness Tests that consist of 1.6 km run, Beam (Pull-ups), 9 Feet Ditch, and ZIg-Zag Balance. Candidates are also measured for compliance with specified minimum physical standards and a medical test is also carried out as per the medical standards indicated in the official recruitment notification. Candidates must qualify through these tests to proceed to the subsequent selection stages. Those who qualify are issued admit cards to appear in Common Entrance Examination (CEE) on the rally site. The admit cards contain the location, date & time of the written test. The results of the test are published online at the Indian Army website.
Candidates are required to carry all specified documents at the rally site in original along with photocopies, 20 recent photographs must also be carried to the rally site along with the admit card, educational qualifications, domicile certificate, caste certificate, religion certificate, school character & character certificates, unmarried certificate, relationship certificate, NCC & sports certificate, affidavit & bank account details and PAN & AADHAR card.
Applications for registration must be made only by eligible candidates. It is therefore advised to go through the complete recruitment notification and ensure that one complies with all terms and conditions before proceeding to register online. Candidates are advised to make arrangements for accommodation during the rally days as such provisions are not extended by the ARO or Indian Army.
