Assam Public Service Commission is going to conduct the preliminary examination for Combined Competitive Examination. APSC has recently released an official notification in this regard in the official website, apsc.nic.in. As per the notification, APSC CCE 2020 will be organized for 331 vacancies. Online registrations for the same will start from September 10, 2020, onwards. Eligible candidates can submit their application form before the last date i.e October 10, 2020. The schedule for prelims exam and mains examination will be announced in due course of time.
The posts that are advertised for APSC CCE are as follows – Assam Civil Service (Jr. Grade), Assam Police Service (Jr. Grade), Superintendent of Taxes, District Transport Officer, Labour Inspector, Inspector of Taxes, Inspector of Excise, Block Development Officer, Assistant Employment Officer, Sub-Registrar and Assistant Manager of Industries. Those who are able to qualify all the stages of the selection procedure successfully will be paid the salary on a monthly basis. Details of the salary for each post are Rs. 30,000/- 1,10,000/- for Assam Civil Service (Jr.Grade), Assam Police Service (Jr.Grade), Superintendent of Taxes, District Transport Officer, and Rs. 22,000/- 97,000/- for the rest of the posts.
Applications from only Indian nationals are invited from APSC. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any stream to apply for APSC CCE prelims exam. Their age should not be less than that of 21 years or more than 38 years as on January 01, 2020. The upper age limit is relaxable for SC/STP/STH candidates up to 43 years, for OBC/MOBC candidates up to 41 years and for persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) by 10 years.
As of now, APSC is inviting online applications for preliminary examinations only. Candidates are required to apply for the prelims by visiting the official website, apscrecruiment.in. They have to upload the following documents in support of claims regarding the age, educational qualification, category, EWS category, PwD. Moreover, while submitting the application form, candidates have to choose a centre of examination of their choice. On completion of the application procedure, take a clear print out of the preview of the submitted form for future reference. Also, applicants are advised to submit only one application.
APSC has decided to launch its Online Recruitment Portal under the Digital India Initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information technology. Candidates can pay the application fee using this portal. General EWS category candidates have to pay Rs. 285.40/-, SC/ ST/ OBC/ MOBC have to pay Rs. 185.40/-, BPL/ PWBD and Women candidates have to pay Rs. 35.40/- as the application fee.
The selection process for APSC CCE includes two stages – Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination (Written exam and Interview). The first stage of the preliminary examination is conducted for 400 marks. APSC CCE prelims exam serves as the screening test to shortlist applicants for the mains round. The main examination includes a written examination and interview. Complete mains exam is conducted for 2275 marks with 2000 marks for Written exam and 275 marks for Interview. The scheme of the examination for the prelims and mains examination is available in the notification itself. Final merit list is prepared considering the marks for the Mains Examination only.
