AIIMS Nursing 2020: Registration started, exams in June, here are all the details

Candidates have to go through basic and final registration to apply for admission. Entrance exam to be held on June 06, 20, and 28, 2020.

AIIMS Nursing 2020

All India Institute of Medical Sciences has released notification inviting online application form for B.Sc (H) nursing, B.Sc nursing (post-basic) and B.Sc (paramedical courses). The admission will be made in AIIMS, New Delhi and other AIIMS. The application process includes basic registration and final registration on aiimsexams.org.

The admission in B.Sc (H) nursing, B.Sc nursing (post-basic) and B. Sc (paramedical courses) will be based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance exam. For the B.Sc. nursing (post-basic) course, the entrance exam will be held on June 06, 2020, from 10 am to 11:30 am. For B.Sc. (paramedical courses), exam is scheduled on June 20, 2020, from 10 am to 11:30 am and for B.Sc. (H) nursing course on June 28, 2020, from 10 am to 12 noon.

To be eligible or admission in B.Sc (H) nursing, candidates must pass 10+2 with english, physics, chemistry, and biology. General, EWS, OBC need a minimum aggregate marks of 55% and the SC, ST category candidates must have minimum 50%.

For all those candidates wanting to take admission in B.Sc (paramedical courses), eligibility is 10+2 passed with english, physics, chemistry and either biology or mathematics as subjects of study. Minimum marks in 10+2 must be 50% for general, EWS, OBC candidates and 45% in case of SC, ST category candidates.

On the other hand, the candidates applying for B.Sc nursing (post-basic) programme must be 10+2 passed, have a diploma in general nursing and midwifery, is registered as a nurse, RN, RM (registered nurse, registered midwife) with any State Nursing Council. For male nurses, along with being registered as a nurse, they must also have obtained a certificate in General Nursing, if they had passed before implementation of integrated course in 2003. Also, instead of training in midwifery they should have training in any of the 9 subjects listed for six months, namely O.T. techniques, ophthalmic nursing, leprosy nursing, TB nursing, psychiatric nursing, neurological and neurosurgical nursing, community health nursing, cancer nursing, or orthopedic nursing.

AIIMS Nursing 2020 Basic Registration Started

Applying for AIIMS entrance exams involves first doing a basic registration and then filling the form. In the case of AIIMS Nursing 2020, basic registration is ongoing.

To start with the basic registration, eligible candidates have to reach the “PAAR-Basic Registration Page” on ugcourses.aiimsexams.org. Here the candidates have to complete their basic registration by clicking on the link “Click here for New Basic Registration”. Next, the candidates have to fill in basic details, upload scanned images of left hand thumb impression, photo, and signature. Finally, candidates need to print the basic registration form.

Basic registration must be completed by January 16, 2020, 5:00 pm. AIIMS will then upload the status of basic registration as ‘accepted’ or ‘not accepted’. The candidates whose basic registration is not accepted due to some deficiencies, they are given one chance to rectify the same. Status update of basic registration will be done on January 20, 2020, and the correction in deficiencies can be done from January 21 to 30, 2020.

Later, on February 04, 2020, the final acceptance status of basic registration is uploaded. The candidates whose basic registration is accepted, are issued code for final registration on March 14, 2020. Such candidates are needed to complete their final registration by April 15, 2020.

During the final registration, candidates have to choose the exam city choice and make the application fee payment.

AIIMS will also upload the status of the final registration. For the course of B.Sc (H) nursing, the same will be done on April 22, 2020, and for B.Sc nursing (post basic) as well as B.Sc (paramedical courses), it will be done on April 24, 2020.

Reasons for the rejection of application form will be also mentioned with the status. The candidates with rejected final application form have to submit required documents to regularise their rejection by May 04, 2020.

The candidates whose final registration go through, are issued admit card for the entrance exam. For the course of B.Sc. (H) nursing, admit card will be available from May 13, 2020. The same will be available from May 15, 2020 for B.Sc. nursing (post-basic) and B.Sc (paramedical courses).

The detailed prospectus with all other details of the admission process will be available from March 12, 2020.
