The Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeeth has announced the schedule for the Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering 2019 (AEEE). The entrance test will be held in both computer and pen-paper mode. However, the pen-paper based test is scheduled to be held only in Tamil Nadu. The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted on April 22-26, 2019 and the pen-paper based test will be held on April 27, 2019.
Admission to the B.Tech programmes in 2019 batch, offered at Amrita School of Engineering – Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai and Coimbatore campuses is based on the rank secured in AEEE 2019 and JEE Mains (January & April Session).
The AEEE 2019 will be conducted at 90+ centers across India. The registration for the Engineering Entrance examination will start from the First week of October 2018. The candidates will be able to register online at amrita.edu. Those who wish to apply for admission in Amrita School of Engineering must fulfill the eligibility criteria.
The candidates must have passed in 10+2 (Class 12th) or its equivalent examination with minimum 60% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with not less than 55% in each of these three subjects.
Until last year, the candidates were offered admission only on the basis of their performance and marks obtained in the Amrita Entrance Examination-Engineering. However, with the schedule for AEEE 2019 announced, the Institute has confirmed that it will consider marks obtained in AEEE 2019 and JEE Main (January and April Session).
The registration for JEE Main 2019 January Session has been started from September 01, 2018 and will end on September 31, 2018.
The candidates are offered admission in various branches of B.Tech at the Institute’s various campuses. For example – Aerospace Engineering is offered at the Coimbatore campus only; Chemical Engineering at Coimbatore campus; Civil Engineering at Coimbatore and Chennai campus; Computer Science and Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Chennai; Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Chennai; Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering at Bengaluru, Coimbatore.
The Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has been ranked 08th Best University in India as per NIRF Ranking 2018. It has also been globally ranked by Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings (QS) and Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE).
Over 200 companies visit the Amrita School of Engineering and more than 4500 campus placements are offered to the B.Tech students. For the 2017 batch, about 50+ Companies offered more than Rs. 10 Lakhs per annum. The Highest CTC offered in the 2017 batch was Rs. 25.16 Lakhs per annum and the Average Salary was Rs. 4.2 Lakhs per Annum.
