West Bengal Forest in its recently published notification has advertised recruitment for the new category of “Bana Sahayaks”. For this post, the conducting body has announced 2,000 vacancies. The official notification for the same can be downloaded from westbengalforest.gov.in. The posts are purely on a contractual and temporary basis for a period of 01 years. Selected candidates will receive Rs 10,000/-, during this period as a monthly salary. Candidates who are interested in the recruitment can submit their applications within 07 working days of the date of the advertisement.
Candidates must have passed at least 8th standard to submit their forms against Bana Sahayaks posts. Their age should be between 18 years and 40 years as on January 01, 2020. Up to 05 years relaxation on the upper age limit is provided to the SC/ST candidates. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria should be a permanent resident of West Bengal. Both male and female candidates can submit their forms against the advertised posts.
The application procedure is conducted through offline mode. Eligible applicants have to download the form from westbengalforest.gov.in and take a print out of the filled-in application form and submit it. Along with the application form, candidates also have to submit one set of photocopies of relevant documents. They have to submit aadhar card/Voter card as their proof of residence, birth certificate/aadhar card/PAN card as the proof of age and photo id and mark sheet or certificate of the last exam in support of their educational qualification. The form and documents should reach respective district Chief Conservator of Forests. Candidate must refer to the official notification to know about the address of Chief Conservator of Forest of various districts.
The selection process for the said post is conducted through two stages – screening of the applications and interview round. After the completion of the applications process, conducting body verifies the location of the applicant and other eligibility norms. Shortlisted candidates are invited for the evaluation-cum-interview round. In this round, candidates have to report with their original certificate are the verification. Engagement Board conducts the interview round for 100 marks. In this round also includes a personality test in which a candidate’s ability to read, write Bengali language is tested. With that, they are also evaluated on the basis of their knowledge of the Hindi language. General Oral test and personality fitness for forestry works are also included in this stage. After the appointment, candidates are posted anywhere in the state. However, candidates are most likely to get posted in the place of their residence or nearby district.
