WBJEEB is going to conduct the JELET 2022 exam on May 14, 2022, as per a notice released by the board yesterday. The notice also stated that the online applications are going to commence from January 25 to February 07, 2022, and the correction shall begin from February 08 to 09, 2022. The JELET 2022 admit card is going to release on May 05, 2022, and the results are going to be released in the last week of May 2022.

JELET 2022

JELET (Joint Entrance Lateral Entry Test) 2022 is conducted annually by WBJEEB to provide admission to candidates in the second year of the B.Tech/B.Pharma course in institutes of West Bengal. The basic eligibility required for applying to WBJEEB JELET 2022 is to have a Diploma in any Engineering branch or B.Sc with at least 45% marks in aggregate. However, those seeking admission to Jadavpur University must have at least 60% marks in the Diploma programme.

The board has also revised the exam pattern for the upcoming JELET 2022 exam and as per the new exam pattern, there shall be two papers i.e. paper 1 for Engineering aspirants and paper 2 for Pharma. For candidates seeking admission to the Engineering course, 40 questions from Mathematics, 30 from Physics, 20 from Chemistry, and 10 from Fundamentals of Electrical and Electronics devices shall be asked. A separate marking scheme has been devised for questions from categories 1 and 2 and the total marks shall be equal to 120. The paper is going to be held for 2 hours and the questions asked shall be in the English language only.

The minimum qualifying marks for WBJEEB JELET 2022 is 45% for the unreserved category and 40% for the canddiates who belong to OBC/SC and ST category. Those who fail to score these many marks will be disqualified from the examination. The board releases a GMR (general merit list) prepared on the basis of marks scored in the entrance examination. The final admission to any of the courses is subjected to the overall merit of the candidate, rank scored in the examination, college opted for, and seat availability.

Candidates can keep a tab on the official website for getting the latest updates regarding the announcement of the WBJEEB JELET 2022 notification. It is highly anticipated that the official brochure shall be released in either the last week of December 2021 or in January 2022.
