West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board has announced the WBJEE 2019 Result on June 20, 2019. The examination was conducted on May 26, 2019, offline mode. Earlier the result was to be announced on July 02, 2019, however, the release has been made quite early. The candidates who appeared for the entrance exam can visit the official website of WBJEE to check the result as it is released online, only.

The result is released in the form of a Rank card that will contain all the relevant ranks, total score and component score in Paper – I and Paper – II. To download the Rank card, candidates will have to log in by entering their password. The board does not issue any rank list.

The rank card is needed to be retained securely as no duplicate rank card will be provided after the counseling and admission process. For duplicate rank card even after the counseling and admission, candidates will have to apply to the board. The last date for applying for a duplicate rank card is August 31, 2019. A fee of Rs.500 will be charged for issuing the duplicate rank card.

The examination conducting authority issues two separate merit lists – General Merit Rank (GMR) and Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR). The GMR list of WBJEE 2019 is based on the total scores obtained in Paper 1 & 2 taken together. This list applicable for admissions in all the Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture courses and to the Pharmacy course at Jadavpur University. The PMR list is based on the scores in Paper – II only. The list is applicable for admissions in Pharmacy courses except at Jadavpur University.

For the counselling process, the board issues a separate notification on the website. Candidates who qualify the entrance exam and are in the merit list will be eligible for the counseling. The counseling process takes place online. The candidates are then allotted seats based on their merit in the exam, choice-filled and the availability of seats. The applicants who are allotted seats will have to report to the colleges assigned.

WBJEEB is conducting the Common Entrance Exam for admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Engineering, Technology and Architecture courses in government colleges and Universities. WBJEEB has been recognized as a Statutory Body vide West Bengal.
