West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) notifies that it will release the admit card for WB Police Excise Constable recruitment 2019, today, on November 11, 2019. Through the latest notification, the board conveys the preliminary written test date, admit card release date, and instructions on how to get the admit card.
To start with, it may be noted that the WB Police Excise Constable prelims will be held on November 24, 2019, from 12 noon to 1 pm. The exam will be conducted as ther screening test for recruitment to the post of Excise Constable (including Lady Excise Constables) in the subordinate Excise service under Finance Department, Govt. of West Bengal, 2019.
Today, very soon, WBPRB will release admit card for the exam at wbpolice.gov.in, and excise.wb.gov.in. The former the website of West Bengal police, and the latter is that of the Directorate of Excise. Application number and date of birth will be required to download the call letter.
On one hand the police board shall activate link to download admit card on the website. Whereas on the other hand, candidates will also receive SMS as soon as the link is available. However, the department stresses, that receipt of sms depends on various factors and thus non-receipt will not automatically grant candidates any privilege to appear in exam without admit card , or download it on delayed dates.
On the West Bengal excise constable exam day, candidates will have to show the admit card and a proof of identity.
Under no circumstances shall the department release admit card in print form via post, or send the document in any other means. Candidates are also not allowed to meet the board authorities in person to collect the admit card like that.
Dress code for the exam day is also provided. Candidates are advised against wearing sports shoes, sneakers, high heeled footwear, or any other kind of shoes. Wearing any of these will lead to being denied entry at the exam hall.
WBPRB asks candidates to follow the dress code and wear flat footwear like plain leather or polyurethane footwear or slippers without any metal embellishments or accessories. Also, instructions in the admit card should be followed.
In addition to the dress code, there are blanket rules for all WB police recruitment exams, pertaining to what cannot be carried to the exam centre. Devices like mobile phone, bluetooth enabled hearing device, portable scanners, digital wrist watches, calculators, pen, or such devices or items that can be suspect of cheating aids are not permitted within the examination hall or centre premises.
On the exam day, WBPRB will issue black ball point pens to candidates.
With the exam date, admit card date notification, WBPRB has also provided a specimen OMR answer sheet, and a specimen of attendance roll.
WB Excise Constable recruitment 2019 is for a total of 3000 vacancies. The preliminary exam will be of 100 marks, with 100 multiple choice questions. The test will be of one hour. There will be two sections in the paper, test of language, general awareness and reasoning; each of 50 marks.
