Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has announced VITEEE 2019 Result on April 29, 2019. The result has been announced online at the official website, vit.ac.in. The candidates who appeared for VIT engineering entrance exam on April 10-21, 2019. To check the result, the candidates require their Application number and date of birth.
Along with VITEEE 2019 Result, the University also publishes the list of 10 rank holders in the entrance exam. As per the information released by the University, a total record of 1.62 lakh candidates registered for VITEEE 2019.
The candidates are offered admission to various BTech programmes offered by VIT at its Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, and Amravati campus, on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam.
As per the press released for VITEEE 2019 Result, the qualifiers in the entrance exam are eligible to take part in VITEEE 2019 Counselling. The candidates whose last rank is up to 99999 can appear for the counseling from May 10, 2019.
VIT university gives scholarship to the merit holders. University only gives it to the top 1000 rankers. Central and State Board get a tuition fee waiver of 100%. 1 to 50 VITEEE Rank holders will get tuition fee waiver of 75%, 51 to 100 VITEEE rank holders get a tuition fee waiver of 50%, 101 to 1000 VITEEE 2018 rank holders get tuition fee waiver of 25%.
Furthermore, free admission, including total fee waiver, and free boarding and hostel accommodation for all four years of the course would be provided to one boy and a girl each from all districts of Tamil Nadu who secure the first rank at the district level from among government schools in rural areas.
The Counselling for VITEEE 2019 is held in multi-campus. The candidates are allotted a seat on the basis of their merit in the entrance exam, choices submitted and availability of seat. There is no such cutoff for VITEEE 2019. It is not applicable due to the equating method. It has been observed that the VITEEE Univesity usually calls up to 99999 rank holders for the counseling. However, for the first round of counseling, the call to attend the counseling is send to around 20000 rankers.
The candidates who are allotted a seat, have to report at the allotted Institute, pay the required amount of admission fee and carry necessary documents in proof of fulfillment of the eligibility criteria. On the day of the counseling, the candidates have to carry VITEEE Admit Card, a demand draft of Rs. 50,000, Caste Certificate (if any), Counselling admit card. Photocopy of the application form, Aadhar Card, 10th and 12th marks certificate, PAN card.
