Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is conducting the VITEEE 2021 exams over three days on twelve slots. Until now, five slots have been held. The second slot of second day – slot 2B – was supposed to start at 11 AM. However as per reports coming in, the test is yet to start due to technical issues on the platform Codetantra.
The login link for VITEEE 2021 exam is viteee.codetantra.com. As per multiple candidates who were to take the 2B slot, the platform has crashed. At the time of publishing this news, the students have been unable to login to the test that was supposed to start the time.
Most students are facing one of the following issues:
- Page is not loading or white / blank screen.
- HTTP 404 Error
- Page not found
These are all issues that usually come up when a website or platform crashes under heavy load.
Some students have been able to reach out to the authorities. They have been assured that the timings will be taken care of.
Last hour, VIT sent an SMS to students, claim the candidates, saying that test will start at 12 noon. However the test has not started even at 12 noon. The next steps are unclear. It is expected that either the test will start as soon as the platform comes back online, or message about new timings will be confirmed to candidates.
A few miscreants are spreading rumors of test postponement in social media platforms.
In this scenario, it is reiterated that candidates must not believe in rumors of postponement from unofficial sources. The exact test timings and guidelines they should refer to should only be the ones provided by VIT officials. The officials are communicating to candidates via emails and SMS on their registered IDs.
Some candidates have shared screenshots of slot 2b being postponed to 12:30 pm. A reference screenshot is given below. However for this too, candidates should contact VIT officials to know exact time.
Next exam date is May 31, 2021.
After that, VIT is looked forward to announce results in first week of June. Meanwhile, KIIT has published the result of KIITEE 2021 phase 1 for B.Tech today.
