VIT University is starting the slot booking for VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) from March 28, 2019. The slot booking facility is open for 3 days. The last date to book the slots for the exam is March 30, 2019.
The candidates have to book their VITEEE 2019 exam slots on a whole new website. This website will be operational from March 28, 2019. This website is known as VITEEE 2019 Online Test Booking System (OTBS). The candidates will be able to book their preferred exam date, time and centre using this slot booking portal.
VIT has recently announced the exam city wise test dates. Now the candidates via the slot booking can select any one exam date on which VITEEE 2019 is being conducted in their city. To do the slot booking at the VITEEE 2019 OTBS, candidates have to log in using the password that VIT will send the candidates on or before March 28, 2019.
What Exactly is VITEEE Slot Booking?
Like booking a movie ticket, many Universities like VIT allows the candidates to select one out of the many exams dates to appear in the exam. Also, the candidates are allowed to select their preferred exam time and exam centre venue in the selected tests city.
VITEEE 2019 is being held from April 10 – 21, 2019. The exam dates vary city wise. However each day there are 3 shifts, Shift 1 is 09.00 AM to 11.30 AM, shift 2 is 12.30 PM to 03.00 PM and shift 3 is 04.00 pm to 06.30 pm.
Now using the slot booking facility the candidates can select any one exam date, shift and the venue of the exam centre that is most suitable for them to appear in the exam. The admit card for the exam is issued right after the candidates submit their choices in the slot booking process at the OTBS itself.
How To Do VITEEE 2019 Slot Booking?
To do the VITEEE 2019 slot booking the candidates have to be ready with 4 important things – The VITEEE 2019 application number, your email id, password send to you for slot booking and a good internet connection and browser. VIT University recommends using the Mozilla Firefox browser for doing the slot booking.
Now as soon as the slot booking starts, the candidates have to access the OTBS. Thereafter they have to log in using their application number and password. A page with important instructions pops and thereafter the facility to select the exam date, centre and date appear.
The candidates have to make the selections in as soon as possible. The slots are booked in real time and they might get booked fast. Thus, to book a preferred slot make sure you don’t delay the process. The facility is available in the first come first serve basis.
VITEEE 2019 is being held in online mode in 220 cities of India and in Dubai, Kuwait, Muscat and Qatar. The exam will have questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and English. There is no negative marking. There will be 125 MCQ type questions. VITEEE is a common entrance exam for VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT-AP and VIT Bhopal. The selection of the candidates is done on the basis of rank in the exam.
