Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has today published released the Junior Engineer recruitment syllabus 2019. The syllabus has been released at upsssc.gov.in for recruitment notified in advertisement number 28-exam/2016 for 489 vacancies.
As per the syllabus released, now the combined junior engineer recruitment will only be on the basis of exams. There will not be any interview for JE recruitment by the commission. Complete exam pattern and syllabus that tells which topics will questions be asked on, is now available.
As per the UPSSSC JE syllabus, there will be two papers in the exam. First paper will have 150 questions of 500 marks. Second paper will have 125 questions of 500 marks.
First paper will have two parts. The first part in the first paper will be general hindi and english, with 50 questions of 100 marks. Then the second part in the same paper will be general intelligence test, general knowledge, basic computer knowledge, and this part will have 100 questions of 400 marks. Complete paper 1 or the first paper will be of 2 hours.
Then the second paper will have a single part. It will be on civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering (building material), cementing thermal engineering, irrigation engineering and flood machine and machinery. This paper will have 125 questions, of 500 marks. Duration will be 2 hours again.
So the complete syllabus of UPSSSC JE 2016-2019 recruitment will have paper with 275 questions, of 1000 marks. Negative marking will be ¼ for incorrect answers.
As per the UPSSSC JE syllabus, questions in general hindi and english section will be asked to test their knowledge in these languages. Questions in this section will be of high school level taught by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP). General intelligence tests will have questions to test how the candidate reacts to different situations. There will be questions that test how candidates analyse things, understand logic, and such situations.
General knowledge will test candidates’ knowledge of things happening around him or her. Current affairs, facts related to historical and geographical and such aspects of India, science related topics, and so on. Computer knowledge will be tested on topics such as peripheral device, number, system memory, internet, modem, operating system, languages, MS Office, MS word, MS excel, email.
UPSSSC JE recruitment was announced in December 2016. The application forms were accepted until January 2017. Although the syllabus has been published today, on September 21, 2019, the exam date was published in July in the UPSSSC exam dates 2019 calendar. As can be seen, the exam is scheduled to be held on November 24.
The vacancy distribution is like this. There are 446 vacancies for Junior Engineer Civil, 15 for Junior Engineer Electrical Mechanical, 18 for Junior Engineer Electrical, 6 for Deputy Architect, 1 for Junior Engineer Mechanical, 1 for Technical Assistant Electrical, 2 for Technical Assistant Mechanical.
As usually UPSSSC releases admit cards around one week before exam, therefore UPSSSC JE admit card 2019 is expected to be available around November 17. Recently the commission has sent SMS to UPSSSC lower pcs 2019 candidates about exam date, city, and shift via BE UPSSSC number.
