The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has successfully conducted the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) II examination today. This is for the first time that the examination was taken by female candidates as well. There were two shifts over which the UPSC NDA 2 exam was held. The first shift took place from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and the second shift from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Since the examination is now complete, let’s take a look at an overall analysis of the UPSC NDA 2 exam.
According to the candidates, the Mathematics paper had a moderate level of difficulty. The questions were mostly out of the NCERT curriculum. Every year, a majority of the questions in the Mathematics paper is asked from Calculus. However, this time, the candidates reported that very few questions were seen from this section. As per subject experts, the GAT paper had a difficulty level between moderate to high.
The English section was reportedly the easiest out of all the three GAT parts. Nonetheless, vocabulary-based questions, sentence ordering, idioms and phrases, etc. were somewhat difficult. The General Knowledge part was somewhere within a moderate level of difficulty. This section comprised questions from Physics, Chemistry, General Science, History, etc.
Now, UPSC has not specified any fixed date for releasing the NDA 2 results. The Commission will fix a minimum qualifying marks at their discretion and then release a list of candidates who will obtain the same. These candidates will then have to appear before the Services Selection Board for the Intelligence and Personality Test. In 2020, the written examination was held on September 06, 2020 while the results were declared on October 09, 2020. Likewise, in 2019, the written examination took place on November 17, 2019 while the results were made available on December 12, 2019. Roughly, the results are released within 25 to 30 days from the examination date. In that case, the results for the written examination for UPSC NDA 2 2021 can be expected by December 14, 2021.

Over the last five years, the minimum qualifying marks is seen to have increased. In 2018, it has even crossed the 300 mark. Based on this, it can be said the minimum qualifying marks for UPSC NDA 2 2021 is likely to remain more than 350.
