Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the Civil Services Result 2018. The result has been declared at the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in. The result is in the form of pdf and containing the name and roll number of the qualified candidates. IAS 2018 interview held in the month of February and March 2019. 759 candidates appointed for various services namely; IAS, IPS, IFS, etc and among the total qualifiers 577 men and 182 women qualified UPSC Civil Service 2018 examination.
Kanishka Kataria from IIT Bombay is the 1st topper of the civil services final exam. Akshat Jain, Junaid Ahmad, and Shreyans Kumat are the second, third, and fourth topper of the examination respectively. Srushti Jayant Deshmukh is the topper in the female category and secured overall 5th rank.
The UPSC IAS Result 2018 is purely based on the overall performance of the candidates in the tests. The candidates who have qualified the examination those are selected for A and B Grade post in Central Civil Services. However, 109 candidates are recommended by the UPSC for civil services, their result is provisional and final result for those will be soon declared on the official website. This is so because total notified vacancies for UPSC Civil Services 2018 are 812.

Previously the interview was scheduled to be conducted from February 11 to March 29, 2019, but later it was changed by the commission. The call letter for the interview was released on March 12, 2019. The IAS 2018 Main examination was conducted on September 28, 29, 30 and October 06, 07, 2018 and the result of the same was announced December 20, 2018. The UPSC Civil Services 2018 preliminary examination was held on June 03, 2018 and the preliminary result was declared on July 14, 2018.
Last year approx 10 lakh candidates appeared in the IAS Examination and approx 900 candidates were selected. In the UPSC Indian Forest Service 2017 total, 1352 were selected.
