Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited is inviting applications for the direct recruitment of Assistant Account and Assistant Review Officer. UPPCL has published two separate notifications regarding recruitment to the aforementioned posts at their website uppcl.org. As per the respective notifications, 33 vacancies are available for the post of Assistant Accountant and 16 vacancies are available for the post of Assistant Review Officer (ARO). Eligible and interested candidates are encouraged to read the corresponding notification and apply online for recruitment at the aforementioned website.
The online application process is commencing on September 09, 2020. The last date to pay fees and apply online is September 29, 2020, while the last date to pay application fee offline is October 01, 2020. The Computer Based Test for selection of candidates is tentatively scheduled to be conducted during the fourth week of October 2020.
As per advertisement 05/BCA/2020/AA/Backlog, 33 openings are available for the post of Assistant Accountant. Among, these, 21 vacancies are reserved for OBC-NCL, 11 for SC and 01 for ST candidates. On the other hand, through advertisement 04/BCA/2020/ARO, 16 vacancies are advertised for the post of Assistant Review Officer (ARO). Among these, 03 openings are unreserved, 01 is reserved for EWS candidates and 06 each are reserved for OBC and SC candidates. The vacancies are to be filled up through direct recruitment. Assistant Accountant post holders are entitled to receive Rs 29800-94300 at the Level 05 of the Pay Matrix. On the other hand, Assistant Review Officers are to be posted at Rs 36800 at Level 06 of the Pay Matrix. Selection of eligible applicants for both the posts is to be done through Computer Based Tests and UPPCL will adopt normalization methods for the calculation of the final marks and preparation of merit list of selected candidates.
Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Accountant provided that they are within the age range of 21 to 40 years as on July 01, 2020. On the other hand, for the post of Assistant Review Officer, candidates having a Graduate degree in any discipline are eligible to apply. Such applicants must have a typing speed of 30 WPM in Hindi. The minimum and maximum age of the applicants as on July 01, 2020, must be 21 and 40 years respectively. Candidates are advised to refer to the corresponding recruitment advertisements to know the complete eligibility details including nationality and other parameters.
UPPCL will hold CBTs for the selection of eligible applicants for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Accountant and ARO. For the post of Assistant Accountant, paper for the CBT will consist of Part A (50 questions) based on DOEACC “O” Level and Part B (150 questions) based on General English & Hindi, Arithmetic, Accountancy, Auditing and Income Tax. Similarly, CBT for ARO selection will consist of Paper A (50 questions) based on NIELIT “O” level computer knowledge and Part B (200 questions) based on General Studies, General Hindi, General English and Logical Reasoning. In addition, candidates must also qualify through a Typing Test in Hindi.
Online applications for both of the posts can be made through the official UPPCL website during the specified dates. Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 1000 (OBC)/Rs 700 (SC/ST)/Rs 10 (PWD) in order to apply for the post of Assistant Accountant. For the post of ARO, OBC candidates must pay Rs 1000 as application fee while SC/ST candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 700. Those willing to pay the fee offline can do so till October 01, 2020 although the Challan must be printed on or before September 29, 2020.
