National Testing Agency has revised the last date to register online for the Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test 2021. UPCET is conducted by the NTA for admission to various UG, PG and Lateral Entry programs in AKTU, MMUT and other State Universities in Uttar Pradesh. Candidates can now submit applications and pay the exam fee till May 31, 2021 as per a latest notice released by NTA regarding the exam. The exam date is expected to be announced by the Agency soon as it currently stands postponed.
UPCET was previously conducted as the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam. It is conducted for admission to Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT) and Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) in Uttar Pradesh. The Computer Based Test was earlier scheduled to be held on June 15, 2021 for admission to programs offered by these Universities. However, the NTA has postponed the exam in light of the COVID-19 pandemic in India.
NTA released the UPCET 2021 official information brochure in April 2021 at the website upcet.nta.nic.in. The online registration process commenced on the very first day of April 2021. Now, the NTA has decided to extend the last date to register and apply for the exam. This is being done in order to ensure greater participation in the exam even amidst the hardships faced by the student community during the times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The last date to register and pay the application fee online for UPCET 2021 is now May 31, 2021. Candidates will be able to submit online application form till 05.00 PM on the last date. Online application fee payment can be done till 11.50 PM on the last date. Candidates are advised to go through the information brochure available on the website carefully before filling up the online application form.
NTA is also going to allow a short window for application form correction. The UPCET 2021 application form correction process is scheduled to start on June 02, 2021. The form correction window is to be closed after June 08, 2021. Candidates intending to edit the information on their application form can do so during the form correction window from June 02 to 08, 2021 on the official website.
Those are yet to register online and fill up the application form are advised not to wait till the last date and apply now as registrations are ongoing. Unreserved candidates of various categories are charged an application fee of Rs 1300 while female and reserved category candidates are charged Rs 650 only.
