UP Board Result is one of the most awaited results in the country. This year the result is likely to be announced on April 15, 2018. The Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said on Sunday that the result of Class 10 and Class 12 students who have appeared the exams this year will be declared on 15 and the next academic session will be started from the next day i.e. April 16, 2018. The notification is not available on the official website. But Mr. Sharma has assured that the date of result declaration and the commencement of the next session is final.

The candidates will get the separate links to check the result for both classes. The students will have to first visit the official website upmsp.edu.in. Then click on the link to check the result either of High School or Intermediate. After that, enter your valid 7 digit Roll Number and the Captcha and hit the “Show Result” button.

After the declaration of the result, the board is planning to start the next academic session for the students. The date of the commencement of the classes is April 16, 2018, and by July the academic calendar will be released. The pattern of the syllabus of Secondary schools will be same as National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

Deputy C.M. said “We are happy that this year’s exams were copying free. The evaluation of the answer sheets is also over. It is known that the Science question paper of Class 10 and Physics question paper of Class 12 had been leaked in Maharajganj district and Chandauli district. But other than this, the exams were concluded successfully.”

The exams of class 10 were conducted as per UP board 10th date sheet 2018, from February 06, 2018 to February 22, 2018. While the Class 12 students gave the exams on February 06 to Mach 10, 2018. A total of  66,37,018 students appeared in the UP Board Exams. In which about 36,55,691 students were of Class 10 and 29,81,327 were of Class 12. UP Board hired 1.46 lakhs examiners for the evaluation of the answer sheets. The candidates of both the classes will get the outcome of their hard work on April 15.

In 2017, the number of the students of class 10 who had appeared in the board exams were 34,04,715. In which 76.75% students were boys and 86.50% were girls. The overall pass percentage was 81.6 %. Considering the stats of class 12, we can say that the number of appeared students were less than class 10m students. Last year, 26,24,681 students sat in the UP Board exams including 77.16 % boys and 88.80 % girls. The pass percentage was approximately 82.50%.

Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will also release the Merit List including the candidates who earn comparatively better marks. The rank of the students will totally depend on the marks they will obtain in the board exams. Tejaswi Devi obtaining 95.83% topped High School last year and Priyanshi Tiwari who got 96.20% was the topper of Intermediate.

UP Board was established in the year 1921 at Allahabad by an act of United Provinces Legislative Council. The board conducted the very first exam in 1923. It is one of the oldest and popular boards in the country. UPMSP is only one board which adopted 10+2 education system in the beginning. Moreover there 40 Subject Committees. The board prescribes the syllabus for the affiliated schools. It is responsible to conduct the exams as well as to declare the results.
