University of Lucknow recently issued a notice on its official website lkouniv.ac.in regarding the postponement of exams. According to the notice, the Uttar Pradesh Bachelor of Education (UP B.Ed) Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2021 has been postponed. The new date of the entrance exam shall be declared later, on the official website itself. The decision to postpone the exam came amid the rising COVID-19 cases in the state as well as in the country.
UP B.Ed JEE 2021 examination was previously scheduled on May 19, 2021. However, the prevailing coronavirus situation in the country is not conducive to conduct the examination. A virtual/online meeting was conducted by the UP B.Ed JEE Advisory Committee on April 13, 2021. Subsequently, Lucknow university announced the postponement of exams to a later date through a public notice.
The revised date shall be decided after reviewing the pandemic situation in the country. Authorities further advised candidates to check the official website lkouniv.ac.in regularly to resolve their queries.
According to the information provided by the university authorities, a total of 6,91,610 candidates had registered for the UP B.Ed JEE 2021 examination. Out of this, 5,91,252 candidates paid the prescribed application fee and submitted the fully filled online application form. The university had established 1500 exam centres to conduct the state-level entrance exam previously scheduled on May 19, 2021.
Candidates who qualify the entrance exam shall be eligible to seek admission in more than 2,500 B.Ed colleges across the state of Uttar Pradesh. However, candidates who are interested in appearing for the exam must fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Lucknow university.
According to the criteria, candidates must have acquired their graduation degree from any recognised university with at least 50 percent marks. UP B.Ed JEE 2021 shall comprise of two papers. The first paper shall contain objective-type questions while the second paper shall contain descriptive-type questions.
UP. B.Ed JEE 2021 is one of the many exams to be postponed this year due to the second wave of coronavirus in the country. Yesterday, April 18, 2021, the National Testing Agency issued a public notice on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
According to the notice, the JEE Main 2021 April cycle was scheduled on April 27, 28 and 30, 2021. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the examination stands postponed to a later date. NTA further clarified that the new examination dates shall be announced at least 15 days prior to the exam. This is to ensure that students get ample time to prepare for the exam.
Uttar Pradesh government on April 15, 2021 postponed the UP Board exams 2021 for Class 10 and 12 students till May 20, 2021. The board exams were scheduled to begin from May 08, 2021. However, they were postponed due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the state.
