National Testing Agency has announced the exam dates of UGC NET December 2019 exam. As per the exam schedule of all exams to be conducted by NTA in 2019-2020 published today, the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test will be held from December 2, 2019 to December 6, 2019. The NTA 2019-2020 exam dates notification has been published at nta.ac.in. Detailed notification regarding UGC NET will be published as per schedule over ntanet.nic.in.
Besides the exam date, NTA has also revealed the registration dates, admit card download date, and result date for UGC NET Dec 2019. The agency shall commence online registrations for the exam from September 9, 2019. The same will be available online at ntanet.nic.in until October 9, 2019.
Thereafter, admit card for the exam will be released a little less than a month before the exam, on November 9, 2019. The exam will take place in the first week of December, from Monday through to Friday. NTA will declare UGC NET December 2019 result by December 31, 2019.
Usually NTA publishes a larger range of exam dates for UGC NET exam, and when exam is close, it provides the exact dates. However this time it has given five exam dates only, and every time (ever since NTA has been conducting NET exam), the exam has been held on five days. Therefore this time it seems that the agency has given exact exam dates rather than a range of dates.
UGC NET is the national level exam to determine eligibility for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship. Candidates can become eligible for either, or both, depending upon their performance in exam and fulfilment of educational qualification, age limit and other things.
NTA will invite online applications from candidates who have a Masters degree with at least 55% marks, or 50% in case of SC, ST, OBC, PWD. Candidates upto 30 years of age will be able to apply for JRF. However there will not be any upper age limit for Assistant Professorship.
Attention is brought to the fact that UGC NET June 2020 exam dates have also been revealed. For the exam after December 2019 NET, registration will begin on March 16, 2020 and end on April 16, 2020. Admit card download for the exam will begin on May 15, 2020. The exam dates are June 15, 2020 to June 20, 2020. Result will be declared on July 5, 2020.
