Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) has announced the result of Post Graduate Assistants / Physical Education Directors grade I recruitment exam 2019. TRB PG Assistant Result 2019 has been published at trb.tn.nic.in. Roll number wise marks list have been published, and next, list of candidates to be called for certificate verification will be announced.
The marks list have been published in pdf file format. There is one file for each of the subject papers namely Tamil, Political Science, English, Physical Education, Physics, Biochemistry, Botany, Micro Biology, Geography, Home Science, Commerce, Indian Culture.

The number of candidates whose marks details have been published, subject wise, are as follows: Tamil – 27,214; English – 24,790; Physics – 11,317; Botany – 5,967; Geography – 728; Commerce – 12,421; Political Science – 52; Physical Education – 1,703; Biochemistry – 168; Microbiology – 280; Home science – 45; Indian Culture – 7.
TRB has officially reported that 1,47,594 number of candidates had appeared in the exam. The exam was held from September 27 to 29, 2019. After that tentative answer keys were published on October 3, 2019. Candidates could submit objections from October 7 to 9, 2019. After that, the Teachers Recruitment Board looked into all the objections and finalised upon a final answer key. On the basis of that, marks were calculated.
TN TRB will publish list of candidates for certificate verification in the ratio of 1:2. Herein, if two or more candidates get the same marks then both or more will be called for verification of certificates.
Along with certificate verification list, call letter for the same will be published at trb.tn.nic.in. Those who get it, need to bring their certificates in original, and attested copies to the center mentioned in the call letter.
Certificates to show include 10th or SSLC, 12th or higher secondary or its equivalent, UG degree in the relevant subject or its equivalent, PG degree in the same subject or its equivalent, B.Ed. degree or its equivalent, M.P.Ed degree or its equivalent or a diploma equivalent to M.P.Ed degree.
Wherever applicable, community certificates, and disability certificates shall also be required. Also, candidates claiming reservation against PSTM (persons studied in tamil medium), need to submit Tamil medium study certificate.
TRB PG Assistant recruitment is for 2,144 vacancies. Subject wise they are Tamil – 319, English – 223, Mathematics – 279, Physics – 210, Chemistry – 356, Botany – 154, Zoology – 144, History – 104, Geography – 11, Economics – 211, Commerce – 99, Political Science – 14, Physical Education – 16, Biochemistry – 1, Microbiology – 1, Home science – 1, Indian Culture – 1.
Post Graduate Assistants / Physical Education Directors Grade – I will be eligible for pay scale Rs 36,900 – 1,16,600, Level – 18 in the minimum pay of Rs 36,900. They will join in the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Educational Service.
