Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) has released TISSNET 2019 Result on the official website. Candidates who appeared for TISS National Entrance Test (TISSNET) on January 13, 2019, can download the scorecard at admission.tiss.edu. It is available at the candidates’ login and easily downloadable using email-id and password. The TISSNET Result is published in the PDF format containing the sectional and overall scores.
In the result, candidates can check if they have qualified the first round. Students are shortlisted as per the cut-off set by the Institute for each of the 53 M.A courses offered by it. Shortlisted candidates now have to appear next stage of the selection process. It includes the Pre-Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI). The dates for these rounds is already available at the TISS website. For Mumbai, Tuljapur, Hyderabad, and Guwahati, the dates are 05-15 March, 16-19 March, 25-25 March, and 01-04 April respectively.
Candidates who are selected for the next rounds also have to fill the interview form. Students can download the PIT and PI form from the official website. This form needs to be carried on the interview date. Aspirants who have chosen Mumbai, BALM, and Chennai campuses for any of the programme need to appear for PIT and PI at Mumbai campus only.

In order to prepare for PIT and PI, candidates can refer to the preparation material available at the official website. PIT is a written round in which candidates have to write an essay on the given topic. A few topics from the past year are “Steps to promote women in leadership positions”, “Indian Judicial System” etc. The genre of topics may vary from course to course. This round also consists of short case-lets which test candidates social awareness and sensitivity.
Next is the interview round, in this round candidates must have basic awareness about the programme they have opted to pursue their masters. For example, a candidate who wants to do M.A in Human Resource and Labour Relation must have knowledge about Indian labor laws. etc. Also, prepare some questions like “why this programme”, “why this college” etc.
The marks for each round will be scaled down to select the students for admission to the academic year 2019-21. The actual weight-age of TISSNET 2019, PIT and PI is 100, 20, and 75 marks respectively. In the final result, the weighage of each round will be 40%, 30%, and 30% respectively. The final result is scheduled to release on April 22, 2019.
The result will release in the form of merit list. On the basis of it, candidates can take admission to the M.A programme. In case, candidates do not find their name in the first list, then they can wait for the waiting list. Keep a track on the official website for the list to announce.
