Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) has released a notification informing of an unexpected delay in the release of the admit card. It has subsequently released a new date for the release of the admit card. According to the official website, the admit card will be available for download from November 25, 2021. TIFR will eventually conduct the GS 2022 exam on December 12, 2021, in two sessions. The morning session has been assigned for Biology (Wildlife & Conservation), Computer & Systems Sciences, Chemistry, and Physics. This session will be from 9.30 am and end at 12.30 pm. Meanwhile, the afternoon session will start at 2.30 pm, and end at 2:30 pm for Biology, and 4:30 pm for Mathematics. These examinations are being conducted across 20 states of India. The students appearing for the entrance exam will be able to find the details of their exam centres on their admit card itself.

Step 4: You will find the download button for your admit card
As reported, the results of this exam will be announced by the end of January 2022. Shortlisted candidates will have to sit for the second round of written test, or an interview, depending upon the program they have applied for. The academic year will start from July 1, and August 1, 2022, for M.Sc. and Ph.D/I-Ph.D programs respectively. All the registered candidates will also be eligible for a monthly fellowship based on their course.
Along with this, some admissions in TIFR will be made based on the GATE/NET/JEST scores of the applicants. The details for these admissions will be posted on the TIFR website soon. There are also several participating universities in this examination. This means that some universities will be considering the results of GS 2022 for their admission process. Ashoka University, IMSc., IISER, CDFD, etc are just some examples.
The entrance exams are being conducted for the post-graduate programmes at TIFR. This includes programmess such as Ph.D., Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. as well as M.Sc.in different subjects like Computer & Systems Science (including Communications and Machine Learning), Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Science Education. The eligibility for all the courses is different but admission into any Ph.D. program at least requires a Master’s Degree.
