Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC MTS 2022 official notification on the website yesterday. This year, the commission has notified 3603 vacancies for the post of Havaldar while the same has not been announced for MTS. Candidates who possess the relevant eligibility can apply for the examination starting from yesterday, March 22, 2022.
SSC MTS 2022 Important Dates
The SSC MTS 2022 application process shall commence from March 22 and end on April 30, 2022. The last date to pay the SSC MTS application fee in the online and offline mode is May 02 and 03, 2022, respectively. The application form editing window shall be available from May 05 to 09, 2022. The examination for SSC MTS paper 1 is scheduled to be held in July 2022.
SSC MTS 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 18 years for both the posts, whereas the upper age limit is 25 years for the post of MTS and 27 years for the post of Havaldar. The candidates who belong to the reserved category can avail of the age relaxation benefits as decided by the commission.
Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed class 10th from a recognized board with passing marks.
SSC MTS 2022 Salary Details
As per the official notification, the candidates shall be paid salary as per Level 1 of the 1800 Grade Pay of the 7th pay commission. The candidate’s salary shall be governed under the pay band of INR 5200-20200. Since this is an entry-level post, therefore the candidate shall be paid Grade Pay of 1800 having an index number of 2.57. Apart from the basic salary, they shall also hold the eligibility to get other allowances such as DA, HRA, etc. The DA, HRA, and TA are usually calculated on the basic salary and have a fixed percentage. Like, the current rate of DA is 31% of the basic salary.
The HRA percentage is dependent on the city the candidate has been posted to, the same is 24%, 16%, and 8% for the X, Y, and Z category cities. The candidates are also paid transport allowances that are decided by the commission on the basis of their grades. SSC MTS 2022 Application Process
Candidates who possess the eligibility can check out the complete steps to fill the SSC MTS 2022 application form in the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of MTS, ssc.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage, register for the commission by entering email id, mobile number, candidate’s personal details, educational qualification, etc.
Step 3: Use the login credentials to fill in the SSC MTS application form 2022 with test centre details, choice of the post, etc.
Step 4: Next, upload the photograph and signature in the prescribed size limit and move to the payment section.
Step 5: Pay the application fee as prescribed to the candidate’s category and submit the SSC MTS 2022 application form.
The prescribed application fee for SSC MTS 2022 is INR 100 for the Unreserved and OBC category whereas nil for the reserved category, PWD and Women applicant.
