The Staff Selection Commission recently postponed the Multi Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) 2021 Paper 1 exam through an official notice on the website ssc.nic.in. The exam was earlier scheduled to be held from July 01 to 20, 2021 and the admit cards for the same were scheduled to be released tentatively during the third week of June 2021.
While the SSC MTS 2021 Paper 1 exam stands postponed till further notice, registered candidates now have some additional time to prepare for the postponed SSC MTS 2021 exam. Since the SSC has already released the official notification indicating the scheme and syllabus of the exam, candidates must follow the same in order to prepare for the exam better.
How to Prepare for Postponed SSC MTS 2021 Exam?
Paper 1 of the SSC MTS 2021 is to be held as a Computer Based Test carrying a total of 100 marks. As per the official syllabus, the question paper will be based on the subject of General English, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude and Reasoning. The indicative topics covered under these main subjects have also been defined by the Commission. Hence, registered candidates must ensure that they have covered preparations for all the indicative topics. In case any topic has been left out, now is the time to commence studies to cover it.
One of the most effective study techniques to follow for preparations is by referring to the previous year question papers of the exam. SSC MTS Previous Year Papers can give candidates a clear idea of the type and pattern of the questions asked in the exam. For example, the scope of subjects like General Awareness and General English can be very wide. However, candidates can refer to the past year papers to know which topics have been prevalent in the exam and therefore focus on preparing for these topics.
Assuming that candidates have covered initial preparations for all the indicative topics of the SSC MTS 2021 Paper 1 exam (since the notification was released in February and registrations already ended three months back), it is important that candidates utilize this additional time to revise and practice for the exam. Topics like General Intelligence & Reasoning and especially Numerical Aptitude are extremely practice intensive. While practising, candidates must always aim to practice a diverse variety of questions instead of practising a large number of questions that are all of the same types. This will give candidates an edge over others to answer even the trickiest or most uncommon questions asked in the exam.
It is also recommended that candidates indulge in solving mock tests for the MTS 2021 exam during this additional time. Solving mock tests can help candidates devise their personal strategies to solve the paper in its entirety within the shortest time possible. One must focus on time management as candidates have to solve 100 questions within a duration of 90 minutes only.
When to Expect SSC MTS 2021 Admit Card?
With the SSC MTS 2021 exam postponed indefinitely, there is substantial confusion as to when the admit cards for the exam will be available. The SSC has not yet announced any revised exam date for conducting the postponed exam. Hence, it is extremely difficult to correctly state any expected date of release of the admit card.
However, based on the previous schedule, while the exam was scheduled to commence from July 01, the admit cards were scheduled to release 03 weeks before the exam date. Based on this, the SSC MTS 2021 admit card is now expected to release around 03 weeks before the new exam date. Candidates must remain vigilant on the official website for declaration of the revised exam dates.
