Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has published two answer keys on the same day. One is the final answer key for SSC CGL 2018 tier 2. And second is the SSC phase 7 selections posts answer key 2019.
Talking about the SSC CGL tier 2 final answer key 2018-2019, the commission had already declared result for that exam on October 25. Now the final answer key has been released so that the exam process becomes more fair and transparent, and candidates know exactly where they lost marks.
The facility to print final question paper and answer key for Combined Graduate Level exam tier 2 will be available until November 29, 2019. After that, the facility shall no longer be available.
Coming to the answer key for SSC selection posts phase 7 exam, the exams were held from October 14 to 16. The answer keys available now are tentative, and will be changed once candidates submit their objections. In order to do both – that is check answer keys and response sheets, and submit objections – candidates need to login with their user ID that is roll number, and password. The deadline for doing both is November 1, 2019.
As per the final answer key, compiled on basis of objections, candidates will get 2 marks for correct answers and 0.5 mark per incorrect answer will be deducted. Candidates will be called for scrutiny of documents on the basis of exam results. Right now, to submit objections, candidates need to pay Rs 100 per challenge. Post the deadline, candidates will neither be able to check their answers nor responses. Therefore SSC advises candidates to take printout of response sheet for future reference.
For checking either answer key, the first step to take is to go to ssc.nic.in. There are several notices under latest news. Relevant ones for these answer keys are the links with texts “combined graduate level examination 2018 (tier-ii) – uploading of final answer keys along with question paper(s)” and “phase-vii/2019/selection posts examination, uploading of tentative answer key”.
Both links lead to pdf files that are basically notifications talking about the release of these SSC answer keys. At the end of the notifications, are respective login links to check answer key. In the case of SSC CGL, the login leads to simply the final question paper with answer key. Whereas for phase 7 selection posts, the dashboard displays question paper, answer key, responses.
This time the Staff Selection Commission has published answer keys for selection posts exam in record time, within 15 days. Last time, the exam was held from January 16 to 18, and answer key was released on March 3. In that recruitment, result was announced on May 17.
If the gap between answer key and result remains then the SSC phase 7 selection post result is expected to be announced by end of December. However since the answer keys have been published so soon after exam, results are also expected sooner than last time.
