The Directorate of Elementary Education, Haryana begins the online application process for the students belonging to the economically weaker sections for admission to recognized private schools today, i.e. April 16, 2022. This initiative is under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2000. All application forms have to be submitted via the official website – harprathmik.gov.in. The complete schedule has been given on the official notification displayed on the website.
Schedule
All recognized private schools have been instructed to ensure that at least 25% of the total seats in class 1 or earlier, wherever applicable, are reserved for the children belonging to the weaker section. It must be noted that the annual income of the parents and guardians of the children belonging to the weaker section should be one lakh eighty thousand rupees or less and the income must be confirmed from the family identity card. However, the income certificate is not required from the parents of children belonging to disadvantaged groups. On the other hand, the income certificate of parents belonging to the economically weaker section should be the latest.
As such, it is necessary to have the income certificate of March 2022 or the family identity card if the annual verified income is one lakh eighty thousand rupees or less. Only then, the card will stand valid.
Age Limit
The eligible age limit for pre-school/nursery, pre-primary/KG, and class 1 for admission to EWS classes in the entry-level are as follows.

The parents and guardians have to clearly specify that the residential area is within 0-1 KM of the school. If the number of applicants for admission is more than the number of reserved seats, then the admission process will be conducted by lottery draw. No fee or donation can be taken from the EWS category students.
