National Talent Search 2019 is the competition organized by Dayanand Sagar University, to identify young innovation leaders in the making, and help them take the next step. Junior classes 9th and 10th, and senior classes 11th and 12th students will get access to state of the art laboratories, training from mentors, and a suite of ideas to work upon.
Participating teams will get training from November 12 and 13, 2019. Then on November 14, 2019, there will be talent demos and project exhibitions. Participants will in fact be working with their mentors. DSU will award the top five teams with certificates and cash prizes.
Considered a golden opportunity for students, Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) is organizing the National Talent Search 2019 and has opened it for students across the country. Through it, the university is in the motion to identify and nurture the talent of the school students.
The main purpose of this workshop is to enable the students to learn new technological skills which they can apply in the real world situation. For the same purpose, the university is organising the workshop by the mentors and DSU faculty who help in turning an idea of a bunch of students into a real working mechanism.
DSU invites registration of teams of 3-5 students from each school. It must also be noted that maximum of 2 batches of students under the junior level (9 to 10) and senior-level (11 to 12) categories will be accepted for registration from each school and not more than 2. Schools interested to send the entries can register till November 9, 2019.

The registered teams have to reach the venue on the address: Dayananda Sagar University, Innovaon Campus, Kudlu Gate, Hosur Road, Bengaluru – 5. The workshop is for 3 days. Out of which, 2 days are for the training of the students and on the last day teams have to present their project demos.
There are a total of 38 events that are planned to happened in the workshop out of which the team can choose in accordance with their interest suiting their ideas. They will be trained with the professionals and DSU faculty for helping the students turn their ideas into a prototype.
After getting trained for 2 days and presenting on the 3rd day, it will decide which top 5 teams will win the certificates and a total cash price of 5 lakhs rupees. Apart from this, they will get support from the partner companies to support the development of the concept to the advanced levels. The university also extends the opportunity to a level of setting up the company and go to the market at the last stage. The decision will be based upon the originality, innovation and presentation style of a particular idea.
The event has been a success in the past as well, with more than 1000 students attending the workshop from different 40 schools.
