Railway Recruitment Board (RRBs) will soon release the RRB NTPC admit card 2020 for CEN 01/2019. The first stage computer based test are scheduled from December 28, 2020. Since RRBs always issue hall tickets 4 days prior to the exam date, therefore it is expected that the admit card will be available from December 24, 2020.
All candidates will not get admit card from the same date. Before issuing the admit card, RRBs will publish exam date, city, shift. Candidates will have to login to first check their exam dates.
Then exactly 4 days before the exam date, candidates will be able to download their admit cards. So for example the candidate who has exam on December 28, 2020, will be able to download admit card from December 24, 2020. And those who have exam on December 30, 2020, will download from December 26, 2020. This way the process will go on. The exams will be held till med-March 2021.
Recently, RRBs have issued a revised formula for normalization for marks. Since the exam will be held on multiple dates, in multiple shifts, therefore scores will be normalized for RRB NTPC results.
The new formula is as follows.
The old formula was as follows.
Difference in the 2 formulas is highlighted below.
Day before yesterday, RRB Chennai had sent emails to all candidates who have applied for the Non Technical Popular Categories. The email notified candidates about exam date, city, shift to be available soon. And it also contained their user id and password. These details are very important because they will be needed to download the admit card, as well as check exam city, intimation.
1st stage computer based test for RRB NTPC recruitment will be a 1.5 hour long exam. There will be 40 questions on general awareness, 30 on mathematics, and 30 on general intelligence and reasoning. There will be negative marking of ⅓ marks.
The raw scores will be calculated by giving 1 mark for correct answer, and deducting ⅓ for incorrect answers. After that the normalization formula will be implemented to get the normalized score. Final normalized score calculation will be upto 5 decimal points. On the basis of this score, candidate’s rank will be determined. Only those candidates who get marks more than cut off will be declared as qualified.
Minimum percentage of qualifying marks for UR is 40%, EWS-OBC is 30%, SC is 30%, and ST is 25%. For PWBD candidates the percentage is relaxed by 2%.Those who qualify will be shortlisted for 2nd stage CBT.
