Recently, the Railway Recruitment Board has released a public notice, stating that 2 of its RRB Group D 2018 exam centers, located in Kolkata will be remaining closed on the account of Durga Puja. One of the exam centers is located in the Hooghly district, whereas the other exam center is located in Bankura.
The exam center located in Hooghly will remain shut on October 23, 2018, whereas the other center located in Bankura will remain closed for a period of 4 days i.e from October 23, 2018, to October 26, 2018. The cancellation of the earlier date and the announcement of the new exam date will be intimidated via a text message or an email to all the applicants, who had to appear for this exam on this date.
RRB Kolkata Group D 2018 exam is said to be conducted across 13 exam centers or nearby districts, which are Asansol, Balasore, Bankura, Berhampur, Bhubaneshwar, Bokaro Steel City, Burdwan, Durgapur, Hooghly, Howrah, Jamshedpur, Kalyani, Kolkata & Purnea. All the candidates appearing for this computer-based test, Stage 1 level of RRB Group D 2018 Exam also will need to appear and clear the other rounds, that of Physical Efficiency Test and Document Verification.
RRB Group D 2019 Stage 1 CBT exam will have 100 questions that needs to be attempted in 90 minutes duration. It will contain questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General awareness and Current Affairs. While 25 questions each will be asked from Maths and Science section, General Intelligence and Reasoning and Current Affairs section will have 30 questions and 20 questions, respectively. A Negative Marking scheme of 1/3 marks will also be applicable.
Under this recruitment test, a candidate will be offered various Grade IV level posts like that of Trackman, Pointsman, Gatesman, Helpers in Mechanical, Helpers in Electrical, Helpers in Engineering, Porters and Helpers in Signal and Telecommunication. To fill 62907 vacancies, across 16 RRBs, this recruitment exam will be conducted till December 14, 2018.
