The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released an official notification regarding the recruitment of eligible candidates for the post of RBI Assistant. There are a total of 950 vacancies for the post. Candidates can apply online at the official website of RBI, rbi.org.in, from February 17 to March 08, 2022. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on March 26 and 27, 2022.

How to apply for the RBI Assistant Recruitment 2022?
Step 1: Head to the website rbi.org.in
Step 2: Scroll down to find ‘More Links’ and click on ‘Opportunities @ RBI’.
Step 3: Now, click on ‘Current Vacancies’ tab and select ‘Vacancies’.
Step 4: Candidates will find the link for the Assistant exam application, dated February 17. Click on the link.
Step 5: Important details and instructions regarding the post and the exam will be displayed on the screen. Read the instructions carefully and click on the ‘Applications’ link.
Step 6: Take a printout of the application form.
Step 7: Candidates should fill-up the form and affix their self-attested photograph.
Step 8: Upload the scanned copy of the form and proceed to payment.

According to the official notification, more details about the conduct of the exam and the recruitment process will be announced by the third week of February. The recruitment will be done through 2 phases- Preliminary Examination and Mains examination. After this, a Language Proficiency Test (LPT) will be conducted to select the eligible candidates. Candidates having a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline can apply for the exam.
Observing the past years’ trends, candidates should be at least 20 years old to apply for the exam. The maximum age for General category candidates is 28 years and for the OBC candidates, it is 31 years. Candidates belonging to SC/ ST category have an upper age limit of 33 years. The Prelims exam carries a weightage of 100 marks and is conducted for a duration of 1 hour. Qualifying candidates will have to appear for the Mains exam, which has a total weightage of 200 marks and is conducted for a total duration of 2 hours 15 minutes. The LPT is conducted in the official language of the state to which the candidate belongs.
