The Municipal Corporation of Pune is inviting applications for recruitment into 635 contractual vacancies in the health department. A detailed employment advertisement is available for download at the official website of PMC i.e. pmc.gov.in. The Corporation will select eligible candidates through walk-in-interviews scheduled to be held on and from July 06, 2020, to July 08, 2020. The overall number of vacancies is bifurcated across various posts in the concerned health department. There are 20 posts for Physician, 10 posts for Intensivist, 10 posts for ICU Physician, 10 for Pediatrician, 20 posts for Anesthetist, 10 posts for Resident Pediatrician, 190 posts for Medical Officers, 100 posts for Resident Medical Officer, 40 posts for Dentist, 25 posts for Pharmacist and 200 posts for Staff Nurse.
Shortlisted candidates will be appointed at the posts on a contractual basis for a period of 06 months. They will be entitled to receive a fixed monthly salary. Physicians, Intensivists, and Pediatricians are entitled to receive a salary of Rs 2,25,000. MBBS Medical Officers are entitled to receive a salary of Rs 60,000 while BAMS Medical Officers are entitled to receive a salary of Rs 40,000. The salary of a Resident Medical Officer (MBBS) is Rs 60,000. Dentists are entitled to a salary of Rs 40000. Pharmacists and Staff Nurse position holders are entitled to a salary of Rs 22,349.
Candidates need to possess the minimum educational qualifications and experience as specified in the detailed advertisement. Candidates need to have an MD/DNB Medicine to apply for the post of Physicians. MD/DNB Medicine/Anesthesia candidates can apply for the post of Intensivist. Those having MD Medicine can apply for the post of ICU physician while candidates having MD/DNB Pediatrics are eligible to apply for the post of Pediatrician. MBBS/BAMS candidates can apply for the post of Medical Officer. Candidates having BDS qualification can apply for the post of Dentist. Those having D.Pharm/B. Pharm qualification can apply for the post of Pharmacist and candidates having B.Sc./GNM Nursing qualification can apply for the post of Staff Nurse. The specified maximum age of applicants should not be more than 38 years. However, relaxations upon the upper age limit are applicable for candidates belonging to specific reserved categories. Candidates are required to carry the completely filled up application form along with the original and attested documents on the day of the interview. A recent passport-sized photograph must be affixed with the application form and a copy of the proof of birth date must be included with the documents. Interviews will be held on the aforementioned dates at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hall, Health Office, 3rd Floor, Pune Municipal Corporation Main Building, Shivajinagar, Pune – 411005. The interview schedule is fixed on the aforementioned dates between 10.00 am to 02.00 pm.
