The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSEO) has successfully conducted the Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test or OSSTET 2022, the 2nd test on February 09, 2022. So far, various coaching centers and subject experts have released the answer keys. However, it is being reported that the official answer keys will be available on February 24, 2022. At this point, the candidates seem to be in need of the result date which BSEO has not yet announced.
Expected Result Date
If we take a look at the previous years’ trends, then we see that there are altering trends of declaring the results, over the years. However, in 2021, the results were announced within 30 days from the examination date. To have a better understanding, take a look at the table given below,
Year | Exam Date | Result Date | Difference |
2021 | September 01, 2021 | October 17, 2021 | 30 days |
2019 | January 22, 2020 | August 14, 2020 | 205 days |
2018 | October 05, 2018 | January 07, 2019 | 94 days |
Going by these trends, it can be presumed that the OSSTET 2nd result 2022 can be expected by March 11, 2022. This analysis is based on the trend that was seen in the immediate last OSSTET examination. However, even if there is a delay in declaring the results, then it can be speculated that the results will be announced by May, 2022.
Before that, candidates should keep an eye on the official website – bseodisha.ac.in to check the provisional answer keys as and when they are released. For checking the results, one has to use their email ID and password. The results are usually released along with the OMR sheets and the final answer keys.
Qualifying and Cut-off Marks
The cut-off marks for the OSSTET 2nd 2022 examination are fixed by BSEO. Candidates are required to secure the minimum qualifying marks to stand qualified in the examination. The ones who will qualify for the same will be issued the OSSTET 2nd certificate. Further, the qualifying marks vary depending on the categories.
Category | Qualifying Marks |
General and OBC | 60% |
SC, ST, PH and SEBC | 50% |
After getting the results, candidates can be eligible for recruitment in the field of teaching. They can also apply for teaching jobs in the government, government-aided as well as private schools. However, the recruitment will depend on the eligibility conditions laid down by the respective institution. OSSTET 2nd 2022 certificate is just a criterion and does not assure recruitment.
