Yesterday, i.e. January 20, 2019, Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) conducted the Assistant Section Officer recruitment examination. The first shift examination was for the General Studies which was conducted in the morning shift from 09:30 am to 11:00 am, and the second and third shifts were dedicated to Maths & Reasoning and Language paper respectively. After the examination, many unofficial bodies compiled the OPSC ASO answer key with help of question paper. The candidates who appeared in the exam can check those answer key and can estimate their probable score.
The Maths & Reasoning paper was conduct in the second shift from 11:30 am to 01:00 pm. But the language paper was conducted from 02:30 to 04:30 pm. The candidates have assigned 90 minutes for two papers but for the language paper, the candidates have been provided 02 hours.
The general studies answer key contains the answer to the question asked in the examination. The candidates had to complete the 150 multiple choice questions in 90 minutes. The language of the paper was English and Odia.
The candidates can calculate their score by following the marking scheme. As per the Commission, for each correct answer, 01 marks will be awarded. And for each wrong answer, 1/4 mark will be deducted. There will be no mark for an unattempted question.
The OPSC will release the answer key after a few days of examination at opsc.gov.in. Then the candidates will be able to check the official one. The official answer key will contain the correct answers of all question asked in the paper. In addition to this, the commission will open the objection window, to invite the objections of the candidates if they will not be satisfied with the answers.
After the consideration of the candidate’s response then Commission will publish the final answer key at its official website. On the basis of the final answer key, the result of written exam will be declared. Those who will qualify the written examination will have to appear in the skill test, which will be qualifying in nature no marks will be assigned for that exam. And the final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance and cut off marks decided by the commission.
For the conduction of OPSC ASO exam, the Commission has chosen 33 zones all across the state. Through this recruitment total, 500 candidates will be selected for the post of Assistant Selection Officer. After final selection, the candidates will be paid Rs. 35,400/- basic pay and Grade pay of Rs. 42,200/- as per the rules laid down by the Government of Odisha.
