Oil and Natural gas Corporation of India is inviting applications for the engagement of Doctors on a contractual basis at Jorhat. ONGC has published an official recruitment notification in this regard candidates the official website i.e. ongcindia.com. As per the notice, there are total 04 vacancies available for the posts of Medical Officer. Detailed information about the recruitment and proforma for the applications can be found in the notification. As such, eligible and interested candidates are advised to send their applications as directed before August 07, 2020 up to 06.00 PM.
As per the detailed recruitment notification, there are 02 vacancies available for the post of Medical Officer (Field Duty) out of which, one is unreserved while the other one is reserved for OBC candidates. In addition, there are 02 vacancies available for the post of Medical Officer (General Duty) both of which are unreserved. Following the selection of eligible applicants for appointment to the aforementioned posts, Medical Officer (Field Duty) will receive a fixed monthly honorarium of Rs 75000 while Medical Officer (General Duty) will receive Rs 72000.
There is no upper age limit to apply for the aforementioned vacancies although candidates must be physically fit. Appointment of selected candidates is to be done only after passing the Medical exam of the ONGC. Detailed rules of the medical exams are available on the official website. Candidates must have a valid MBBS degree and registration with the State Medical Council or the Medical Council of India in order to apply for recruitment to the aforementioned vacancies. Candidates having equivalent qualifications are however not eligible to apply for the recruitment. In addition, the qualifications must have been acquired by the applicants on or before the last date of application. Candidates having relevant prior experience will get the preference.
The selection of applicants is done on the basis of qualifications and performance in the interview. 70 marks are allocated for qualifications where 60 marks are allocated to possession of minimum essential qualification and 10 marks are allocated for the possession of higher qualification. The interview carries 30 marks. Unreserved & OBC candidates must secure a minimum of 18 marks to qualify through the interview.
Applications in the prescribed proforma must reach the authorities on or before the last date. Copies of necessary documents, along with the application form must be sent through email, which is hrjorhat@ongc.co.in on or before the last date. Further communications regarding the conduct of online interviews are made through SMS/email only. The interviews are to be conducted over online channels such as Google Meet, Whatsapp, Zoom Call, Skype, Webex, etc. However, candidates are directed to be prepared to appear for the interview either through these specified modes or in person as per the discretion of the company.
