Oil India Limited (OIL) is inviting eligible candidates to appear in walk-in interviews for the recruitment of Chemical Assistant (Field/Lab). OIL has published a detailed recruitment advertisement on its official website i.e. oil-india.com. As per the advertisement, there are 30 vacancies for the aforementioned posts which are to be filled up on a contractual basis. The walk-in interviews are scheduled to be conducted on August 4, 2020, at ETDC, L&D Department, OIL, Duliajan. Eligible candidates are required to report at the venue with the specified list of documents to register for the interview on the same day. The registration process is scheduled to be conducted from 8.00 AM to 11.30 AM.
As per the recruitment notice, there are 14 vacancies for Unreserved candidates, 02 for SC candidates, 03 for ST candidates, 08 for OBC (NCL) candidates and 03 for EWS candidates. General candidates within the age of 40 years are eligible to appear in the interviews. The upper age limit for SC/ST candidates is 45 years while for OBC (NCL) candidates is 43 years. Candidates must have completed their B.Sc. degree with Chemistry as a subject. In addition, the candidates must have a minimum of 01-year experience in field or laboratory chemical activities in the upstream oil & gas industry. It is mandatory that the candidates must be a domicile of Assam. Selected candidates are entitled to receive a fixed monthly payment of Rs 15400 in addition to variable emoluments of Rs 500 per day for each working day. The initial period of engagement is 6 years. It can be further extended up to a maximum period of 12 months only.
The selection of candidates is to be done on the basis of walk-in interviews. Candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in the walk-in interviews for further selection. The only candidate registration process is scheduled to be conducted on the aforementioned date at the interview venue only. Candidates are therefore advised to report to the venue well in advance as the registration process is to be closed on the indicated time. Candidates who fail to register are not allowed to appear in the walk-in-interview.
All candidates are required to bring specified documents at the interview venue. Date of birth as indicated in the admit card/marksheet/certificate of Class 10 is to be considered. In addition to one 3 x 3 cm recent colored photograph, candidates are also required to carry the originals and attested photocopies of Class 10 admit card/marksheet/pass certificate, mark sheets and pass certificate of qualifying degree, experience certificate, caste certificate, valid identity and address proof issued by competent government authority and a NOC for candidates who are working in any organisation.
Candidates are advised to read the detailed recruitment notice carefully before proceeding to register at the interview venue. The interview is to be conducted in compliance with the rules and restrictions imposed by government agencies in view of the COVID-19 situations. As such, if the number of interviewees are high, the interviews can be continued on subsequent days.
