On the very first day of exams, the question paper of Odia was leaked. On Friday, the regional language Odia question paper went viral on social media. It happened 1 hour later the commencement of the exams. Reportedly, the papers were floated in the district named Nuapada and Kamakhyanagar of Dhenkanal district on whats app and on other social media platforms.
However, the School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra had nullified this news and has stated that the mobile phones were prohibited in the examination hall.
According to the Odisha board, the question papers are being sent under the observation of police to the nodal centres. Even the papers are being transferred at 8 am to the exam centres under the tight surveillance of the police. So, there is no question of paper leak after so many security measures. Also, the packets of the question paper used to be opened in the presence of the officials.
Mr. Patra further added that the government officials are also verifying whether the leaked question papers are of this year or of the previous year. Then we came to know that this news is all fake and not at all true.
However, later the BSE officials confirmed that the leak of the question paper is real and the circulation has been made after the commencement of the exams. The board will also conduct an inquiry on this matter.
The Congress Media Cell Head Mr. Satya Prakash Nayak has also said that this is very unfortunate and sad. The paper leak of High School Certificate paper has become the annual affair now. The Board will take care of the measures related to the security of papers. The mobile phones will be completely banned in the examination hall.
