The National Testing Agency (NTA) has once again extended the last date for filling and submitting an online application for NCHM (National Council for Hotel Management) JEE 2021. NTA in its latest public notice, dated May 28, 2021, said that candidates will be able to register themselves and pay their application fees till June 20, 2021, and the correction window will remain open from June 21 to June 30.
In its official notice, NTA has explained that it has decided to further extend the last date for submission of online application forms for NCHM JEE 2021. They decided this to ensure that the candidates do not face any hardships and a maximum number of candidates are able to participate. The notice says that the revised date of the exam will be announced in due course.
The postponement of the entrance exam that was scheduled to be held on June 12, 2021, was announced earlier. Before this, NTA had revised the last date for applying for NHCM JEE 2021. It had extended the last date to submit application forms to May 31 from May 10. The correction window was also extended till June 08, 2021, from its earlier deadline of May 16, 2021. This decision was taken after receiving representations from candidates to extend the last date for submission of application forms.
NTA is inviting applications for NCHM Joint Entrance Exam 2021 for admission to the B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) Course for the academic year 2021-22. The candidates who qualify for this exam will be eligible to get admissions to the Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM) affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM&CT).
Candidates who have passed class 12th from a recognised board with English as one of the subjects can apply for NCHM JEE 2021. Those candidates who are going to give their class 12th exams can also appear for the entrance exam, though only on a provisional basis. The upper age limit for General, General (EWS) and OBC candidates is 25 years as of July 01, 2021, whereas, for SC/ST/PwD candidates it is 28 years.
Eligible candidates can register themselves and submit their application form on the official website of NCHM JEE i.e. nchmjee.nta.nic.in. The application fee for General (UR) and OBC (NCL) candidates is Rs. 1000/- whereas it is Rs. 700/- for the candidates from the Gen-EWS category. SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates have to pay Rs. 450/- as the application fee. Candidates can pay their application fee through UPI, wallet, debit card or credit card.
NCHM JEE 2021 is going to be a Computer-Based Test (CBT), with a total duration of 180 minutes (3 hours). The question paper comprises of 200 MCQs from Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude (30 questions), General knowledge and Current Affairs (30 questions), Reasoning and Logical Deduction (30 questions). Apart from this, 60 questions are asked from English Language and 50 questions from Aptitude for Service Sector. Each question carries 04 marks and 01 mark gets deducted for every wrong answer.
