Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) has released the admit card, NPSC admit card 2019 today, as per schedule. The preliminary exam for NCS, NPS, NSS and allied services examination against advertisement no. NPSC-2/2019 is scheduled to be held on November 30, 2019.
NPSC has issued the hall ticket in online mode, over edistrict.nagaland.gov.in. The single mode of obtaining admit cards is online, from the official website.
Candidates need to visit edistrict.nagaland.gov.in, and click the link “download NCS 2019 admit card”, then enter their transaction ID. Upon logging in, the admit card can be downloaded.
Last year NPSC conducted the NCS exam on November 10, and released answer keys for set A, B question papers on December 5. Thereafter candidates were given a seven days window to submit objections against the answer keys. The result of prelims exam was declared on April 25, and mains exam of the last held NCS recruitment was recently announced, in October.
The notification for civil services exam was released on October 14, 2019. Application forms were accepted from November 1 to 16, 2019. As per the notification, “Preliminary Examination is scheduled to be held on 30-11- 2019, candidates can download their Admission Certificate from https://edistrict.nagaland.gov.in w.e.f. 25-11-2019.”
Four days ago, NPSC issued a notification effectively implementing the reform implementing reservation for PWD candidates, and at the same time putting the CESE 2019 exam on hold. The notification reads “This is to notify to all candidates that: Provisions of Personnel and Administrative Reforms Notification No.AR-3/GEN-9/97(Pt) dated 13.08.2019 (reserving 4% in favour of person with benchmark disabilities) shall be applicable to the Commission’s Advertisement issued vide No.NPSC-2/2019 dated 14th October, 2019 (NCS, NPS, NSS & Allied Services Preliminary Examination, 2019 ). The Commission’s Advertisement No.NPSC-3/2019 dated 13th November, 2019 (Common Educational Services Examination, 2019) is put on halt till further notice.”
The common syllabus for civil services exam, applicable since 2012, is available at npsc.co.in, under syllabus section. As per it, the preliminary exam will be of 200 marks, and 3 hours. All questions will be multiple choice type.
NPSC will provide test takers with OMR sheets, in which they will have to mark their answers. Marks in the preliminary exam will only be used to qualify candidates, and not used for final merit.
The syllabus of NPSC civil services exam comprises of general science, history, Nagaland, geography, Indian polity and economy, Indian national movement, general mental ability test, current events.
NPSC 2019-2020 civil services recruitment shall be on the basis of prelims, mains, interview. The qualifiers of prelims shall be called for mains. Mains exam will have three parts. First will be general essay, comprehension and grammar. Second will be general studies paper I objective type. Third will be general studies paper II descriptive type. Each paper shall be of 200 marks.
In both prelims as well as mains, there will be negative marking to the tune of one-third marks of the question, for incorrect answers.
