National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill up 06 vacancies on a contractual basis. NIMHANS has published an official recruitment notification in this regard at the website nimhans.ac.in. The vacancies are for the post of Project Officer in various areas. As per the recruitment notification, 02 vacancies are available for each of the posts of Project Officer (Child Protection), Project Officer (Education), and Project Officer (Mental Health). The vacancies are to be filled up on a contractual basis in a project funded by the Ministry of Women & Child Development. The maximum duration of the contract is 1 year although selected candidates will be appointed for an initial period of 06 months. Candidates will be paid fixed consolidated monthly salary of Rs 90000 during their tenure of service. However, one must ensure that they fulfil the specified minimum eligibility conditions before applying.
Candidates within the maximum age of 32 years having a Masters degree in Social Work or Psychology or Public Policy/Finance are eligible to apply for the post of Project Officer (Child Protection) given they have at least 03 years of relevant experience. In addition, candidates must have strong English skills and other skills & experience as specified in the official notification. Candidates having a Master’s degree in Psychology and 03 years of relevant work experience are eligible to apply for the post of Project Officer (Education). Such applicants must also be within the maximum age of 32 years. Candidates within the age of 32 years and having an MPhil degree in Clinical Psychology are eligible to apply for the post of Project Officer (Mental Health). Such candidates must have at least 02 years of experience in relevant field and other skills as specified in the recruitment notification.
Shortlisting of the eligible applicants will be done at the discretion of the Institute and only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. The interview will be conducted over Video Conference. Since the job roles require candidates to travel, it has been indicated that in the wake of COVID-19 crisis, candidates have to make their own arrangements for quarantine during service at project employment.
