National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad is inviting applications to fill up a number of Administrative & Technical posts in Ahmedabad and Bengaluru campuses. The Institute has published a detailed recruitment notification in this regard at the official website i.e. nid.edu for recruitment to posts such as Administrative Officer, Civil Engineer, etc. The last date of submission of online applications is August 14, 2020, up to 05.00 PM.
As per the recruitment notice, the NID has vacancies for the posts of Chief Administrative Officer & Purchase & Stores Officer in the Ahmedabad Campus. There is a vacancy for the post of Senior Civil Engineer (Retd.) in the Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar campuses. In addition, there is a vacancy for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) in the Bengaluru campus on a contract basis. Candidates appointed to the CAO post are placed at Pay Level 12 in the pay scale of 78800-209200. Purchase & Stores Officers are appointed at the Pay Level 11 in the pay scale of 67700-208700. Sr. Civil Engineer (Retired) post holders are entitled to receive consolidate fixed salary as per experience and expertise. Similarly, Assistant Engineer (Civil) are also paid a monthly consolidated salary as per experience & expertise.
The Institute has specified the minimum eligibility conditions to apply for each post. In order to apply for the post of Chief Administrative Officer, candidates must have a Master’s degree in any discipline and working knowledge of computers. In addition, the relevant administrative experience of minimum 10 years is also essential to apply for the post. Similar educational qualification holders with 10 years of experience in purchase procedure in government organizations are eligible to apply for the post of Purchase & Stores Officer. Candidates must not be more than 50 years old in order to apply. Candidates having Degree/Diploma ins Civil Engineering and 20 years of post-qualification experience in supervisory positions are eligible to apply for the post of Sr. Civil Engineer (Retired Only). The maximum age of the applicants must not be more than 65 years. Candidates having a degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 03 years of post-qualification experience are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil). The maximum age of the candidates must not be more than 35 years.
The applications for recruitment to the aforementioned posts can be submitted online only. The application window will remain active only till the last date and candidates are advised to ensure that they fulfil all prescribed eligibility conditions before applying online through the links provided on the official website to apply for each post. The selection of eligible applicants is to be done through interviews. However, mere fulfilment of eligibility does not confer the right to be shortlisted for the interviews.
