NID 2022 DAT last minute preparation

The NID 2022 is scheduled to be commenced on January 02, 2022, for both B.Des and M.Des courses in the various National Institute of Design campuses across India. The NID 2022 examination will be conducted through pen-paper-based offline mode. The NID DAT is conducted to provide admissions to the eligible candidates in various B.Des and M.Des courses offered by the different NID campuses. The NID campuses that offer admission through this DAT entrance exam include Ahmedabad, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Gandhinagar, and Bengaluru. Since the examination is going to be conducted tomorrow, the candidates are advised to buckle up their last-minute preparation.

Before implementing the last-minute tips, the aspirants must fully acquaint themselves with the exam pattern, syllabus, and important questions. Practice thoroughly from the previous years’ question papers and sample papers to understand the pattern of the questions asked in the examination. The NID DAT examination is conducted in two rounds, the DAT prelims exam and the DAT mains exam. The DAT Prelims exam is based on the aptitude knowledge of the candidates related to design. The candidates who successfully qualify the DAT prelims are allowed to appear for the DAT mains exam which consists of a studio test and personal interview.

Coming to the last-minute NID 2022 DAT preparation tips, below are some recommended tips that can help the aspirants to ace the examination.

  • Revising the Key Topics

The candidates must revise all the key topics asked in the previous years’ question papers. Revising the basics is important for the candidates to be fully aware of the question pattern. The candidates are also advised to avoid starting any new topic during the last-minute preparation as it will increase the examination stress.

  • Plan the exam-day strategy

The candidates should plan their exam-day strategy carefully. The questions should be answered keeping a specific deadline in mind. Avoid guessing answers in the examination since there is negative marking for wrong answers. Prepare some flashcards and keep them handy as they help in the last-minute revision of some important concepts.

  • Stay calm and composed

It is really important for the candidates to stay calm before and during the examination. Having a positive attitude will help the aspirants to attempt well in the DAT prelims examination.

  • Time Management

Candidates are advised to set the topics asked in the exam according to the difficulty level and solve them accordingly. Since a time duration is provided for the DAT examination, the candidates must attempt the questions according to the given time limit.

  • Practice from previous year papers

The candidates are expected to prepare themselves thoroughly from the previous years’ DAT question papers and sample papers too. This will help them to analyze the important topics and work on them accordingly. Candidates can also use the previous years’ papers like mock tests to check their speed for the actual examination.
